long term affects

I was thinking about posting this in the eGO general forums I didn't so here it is, in the DoD forums. "Where only the best play"

As most of you know eGO and DoD have a big recruitment drive at the moment. Along with many others I decided to do my little bit for the eGO community.

Being that I am a Donner man, I have been Befriending many regulars who have been playing on the server consistently. After developing a better relationship with these players I was pleased that they were receptive to the idea of joining eGO (I think it was because of Sumac's and others pestering every days). However, I came across a hand full of players who have thought about joining in the past, but decided against joining because of past bad experiences from eGO members.
I realize that we are not going to please everyone, even if we bend over back wards and jump Threw hoops, while we sing Taylor swift to them:chair:. Basically we are not going to keep everyone happy. But all we can do is try

So really all this thread is about is that whenever we are playing with our eGO tags displayed, we need to be aware that people are watching:sneaky2: our actions, whether they are :thumbup1: or . And no matter what, you will leave a Legacy affecting yourself and eGO, so make sure its a good one.

What are your thoughts? Tell me that I a stupid Kiwi I would like to know what you think

Ps. I am sorry about the big post, and talking about myself to much like a chauvinistic pig

Cheers,
-Kiwi

I agree Kiwi. We represent eGO and must practice what we preach.

i agree we are only as good as are weakest link so one person can make the whole clan look bad we should wear are tags proud and treat other how you would like to be treated make the impression that we are in fact the best clan out there

my thought are that this could possibly apply more to when playing non-eGO servers? Just because we are not on our own ground does not mean we can let standards slip too much.. after all people just remember the tags!

indeed, i remember joining a UK lennon server a while back and getting greeted with comments like "omg an eGO kid hes not gonna be here long..." and "all eGO players are noobs" and then proceed to go 30-3 with a k98 and dominate the guy saying stuff. the best part was after this he was like "hmm, i guess not all eGO's are noobs"

edit: forgot to add the meaning of this :facewall: just ignore any criticism you hear from people bashing eGO in other servers, they usually hear things about us and judge us before either playing on our servers or with us in general, you CAN change their opinion.

My thoughts exactly Kiwi, though I don't think I can add anything to what you've said, you've pretty much summed everything up. And as gavin says, on non-eGO servers you should uphold standards about how you act, though on these servers they have their own rules and of course it is only you who should be upholding the rules, not expecting everyone else to do so.

Good to hear people are thinking along the same lines as me.
I Know that all members are great. I didn't want to make another thread complaining how a few plonkers don't like eGO rocks.
All I wanted to say is that your actions have long reaching affects . . Even 2-3 years later they can still be felt. So just make sure they are positive!!

Cheers,
