Oh..okay, threads not getting deleted. So lets discuss.

Yeah, apparently IGN seems to be the only one who didn't like the game. Most other reviewers are dropping 8s. I frankly haven't been following the game and I didn't know it was getting released today. I thought IGN had like an early review or something.
 
I think the real issue is that there's no real effort in making something original. Call of Duty has used the leveling up ranking system for quite awhile now but each game has something different than the previous version.

Agreed. The game looked like an amalgamation of ideas done else where and done better in other games. It's almost sad, since the project makes EA look like a company that is desperately trying to get part of Activision's Call of Duty gold mine.
 
I have Medal of Honor, its fun, but very flawed. I must admit IGN's score for the game was a bit hard. The plot was somewhat nonexistent throughout the game. There were certain parts to the game that I enjoyed and were somewhat remember-able. It doesn't hide the fact that there are points where I felt like there were just waves of enemies rushing me for no reason (partially because the plot is empty) All in all, I'd give it a 7.
 
Who has two thumbs and was not surprised at IGN's review.... THIS GUY


Anyways going to go try out the game tonight at my friends house. Will see how it stacks up to the review.

I told ya so. MoH is a flop, and can't hold a candle to any other FPS.


Weak.
 
Glad I switched preorders from MoH to Black Ops. This game's getting mixed reviews..I wonder what Gamespot'll give it.
 
I saw this coming.

From the moment I saw beta footage (my brother tried it out), I felt as though it was just a mix of Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2--but stripped of both games' greatest elements.
 
75% of my reason to buy the game is: Original, true, unique and sad story.

The previous medal of honor games have also been about telling an epic story about regular soldiers and men. The epicness of the single player cannot be ignored.

Seeing the replies in this thread makes me sick.

Fact: CoD is supposed to be an action story. reality = no no
MoH is supposed to be reality, with real guns, real stuff that actually happened.

Like bc2 before it got patched, it was hell on earth. Guns were overpowered, glitches happened all the time, server list not working, chat not working and alot of other crap.

As of now we know there is coming new stuff soon, aka clean sweep, so we know they're careing for us. (Yes, its coming for pc too)

I'm going to have to Say no to your second point here. MoH up until this most recent game, was never about reality. Previous games put players in the role of literally a one man army. Look at Allied Assault, the bulk of the game...you're alone killing Nazis. As for the regular soldier part...in roughly 60% of the MoH games the character was a member of OSS.

Sure this most recent MoH is based on real events, but it's almost like a Hollywood take on real events.

I really did enjoy the multiplayer beta

i completely agree with MentalSoul. :p
i would trade in my bad company 2 for MoH...

with that said i would trade MW2 for Poker Night at the Inventory!!
