[FDL Week 1] vs Team Unlucky

[ronpaul]

Greetings!

The eGO DoD:S Competitive Team is scheduled to begin their first week of regular season matches in the Fragdods League (FDL).

The match will take place this Wednesday, October 12 at 9PM EST. We are playing the Team Unlucky, captained by Jukebox, the general admin of the league itself, on dod_deluge.

eGO is the home team so we'll be using our server. Don't miss any of the action! Connect to SourceTV to watch the match LIVE (okay, sort of live) but join well before the match start time because we only have 32 slots!

In console, type: connect 67.228.175.241:27021
You'll connect to the SourceTV server and from there just sit back and relax, hop in vent and discuss the match with other spectators.

Thanks everyone, wish us luck!

eGO lost a tough match last night. I'll give you a brief synopsis.

We started on the Allies team. The lineup was:

ronpaul - Support
Bad Brain - Support
Sumac - Assault
Spray - rifle
Geno - rifle
Blue Stealth - Sniper

We held a strong ticket advantage for about 5-8 minutes into the match. We threatened to cap-out at least twice when, as inopportune time as ever, Blue had to disconnect due to lag issues. We had Efren standing by to jump in but the server denied him, stating that it was full at 15/13 players. Status showed 12/13 so we weren't sure what was going on. We played the last 12-15 minutes of the first round at 5 players but we still performed very well. We would have won the first round had they not capped us out to net the extra 50 points.

On the Axis side we called in Efren who stepped in cold and off the beach to perform marvelously. It was obvious that our opponents were a little more settled in and played much better the second half. They managed to cap us out three times and take a slight tick advantage. They won the round and, as a result, the match.

Check out the Frags and Flags (the FDL stat system) to see how we performed. http://fdleague.net/league/frags_&_flags/?division=dodso

Thanks to everyone who spectated. In the future, you'll need to download the map to be able to view through SourceTV. We're working on finding a way to make that easier.

Thanks and good game Team Unlucky
