Nah. Say what you want. I'm hoping this isn't considered flaming but it needs to be said. A decent amount of you guys need to grow up. We're all cool here. no need for the attitude problems on an internet gaming group forum.

No. It wasn't blatant sarcasm. I honestly had no idea what he meant. That's just a way of implying, "Could you go into a little more detail?" without actually saying that.
This isn't justifying my internet attitude, this is me trying to explain what you have apparently misunderstood.
And you don't seem to be very constructive, but a bit mean.

I think we need to stop arguing or this thread is going to be closed.

As people said above, talk to Artimus about creating a site that is related to/promoting eGO mainly because of copyright on the name (there might be other conflicts as well, drop Artimus a PM).

If you want to learn how to make a website from scratch, you need to learn HTML and CSS. Best place I found to learn online for free is W3School.

If you dont want to take the time to learn HTML, you can use an online web builder such as Webs and Weebly to make a quick and easy website. This approach gives you less customizationcompared to learning HTML but is a lot faster.

I never was trying to be constructive, I was sick of seeing what happened in the initial part of this thread occur.

So why is everyone being such jerks? He's is into the group.. so by those means he wants to make a fan based web group or something of that nature.. or to help further promote eGO & help out in whatever way he can.


Donno why you all gotta' prove your witty and original on the internet and leave mad rude sarcastic posts. why not support him? Why bother posting in the first place? I've ALWAYS noticed this. a relatively new member, especially an e, gets messed with all the time even if they have positive ideas or things to say. I've seen it occur many times and the initial reasons are blatantly obvious. they are They are undermined to the fullest extent and and I think that crap should stop. Everyone can deny it but you all know It happens. Often. I'm not saying this is related to this thread, but in my opinion yeah, it probably coincides in some ways.

Only posts that are relevant are the ones saying he should ask for permission.

Quoting what others said that was rude doesn't solve/excuse anything. With the way everyone responded it's quite obvious they were all mostly rude/mean comments. Just because you all got called out on it doesn't mean yall' should justify it. you all were mostly mad rude.

I must say that I agree with you on that one mate. I've seen a lot of that kind of stuff recently, and it's almost to the point where I've quit eGO.

But anyways, I think a fan-based site would be awesome! It could be a great way to raise awareness (as other people said) and even be a way to recruit in some members!

I debated awhile about posting this, but decided to go ahead...

I have to agree with Vexx , and to a lesser extent, Fabbrini. (Fabbrini, your initial post was very good..but then you (and Brisky) started arguing with others. You should have just ignored them.)

If you look over the entire thread, only three times (previous to me) has an O posted.

Two of those (made by advisor's), simply pointed out who Brisky should approach. The third (by pickles) repeated the instructions, as well as gave some encouragement and pointers.

If you pay attention to the over all "tone" of the forums, you will notice that theme being repeated. You will see the "O's" tend to be very kind and patient.

However, I do see a lot of E's and G's tend to "poke" a fair amount. By that I mean, to "put down". Sometimes slightly, sometimes, harshly.

It's one thing if your in your division forums, and your talking smack to members you play with on a regular basis. It's a different matter if your being rude to a person you don't know...specially somebody who is new to eGO, and has not yet fully learned the "ropes".

When it comes to promotions, people need to realize that the Advisors and Division Leaders gauge a person NOT just by their in-game attitude, but also how they behave in vent AND here on the forums.

So, next time you make a post, think to yourself...do I REALLY want the people who do promotions to read this???
