Pointer Problems & more

If I go into spectator mode in Day of Defeat Source or if i am in chat in any game (press y), I can not use my mouse to navigate because there is no pointer, and it doesn't highlight anything either. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Another thing... The first server I join in Day of Defeat Source disconnects and if I try to rejoin straight away it will say "Steam Validation Rejected.", it fixes itself after some time though.

I play on a Intelbased mac with all updates to steam and Dods. Google did not help me with these problems

to fix the "Steam Validation Rejected" the best method is just to repair and/or reinstall steam (I had the same issue for the longest time it fixed the next time i updated steam i do believe)

as far as the mouse pointer goes I don't know much about macs but on PC's mouse trails (and other hide mouse settings) can cause it as well as the graphics pack you're using.

Thanks. I've updated dods and still had this problem for a while, I guess I'll live with it because I can't be bothered to reinstall my awesome skins I've never had this mouse pointer problem on my PC.

I doubt it has anything to do with specs or internet but I use a 8Mbit connection.
