I know they are currently allowed on the CSS servers, but I really think they give an unfair advantage. How are they not cheating?

Well they are sprays, so I don't know if it can be really removed as some people might be mad because it's just a spray.... I guess it would be cheating but it really is up to the admins. I think you should just Dropbox it. Click Here

the animated sprays of ct's or t's that look like they flash at people.

Hmm. Well. The sprays only distract you for a second. Sure that second might get you killed, but they are only suppose to make you laugh when you get killed. Remember, this is only a game. :)

Reasons why this is a good idea:

1. Alright, we all get annoyed at this spray, and we all can admit to that i think.
2. It can cause frustration

Reasons why we SHOULDNT remove it:

1. Its a good laugh
2. Eh, pranks are good at times to liven up the server. Its not THAT competitive anyway ;)

Eh, I dislike these, sometimes removed them when I was a G, but I don't think they should actually be banned and removed from all eGO servers.

Its smart use of game mechanics.

Some people use it for fun, some people use it for their benefit.

Simply something we wont restrict and admin in the servers.

Besides, I can think of other more distracting sprays that seem to be sprayed much more than decoy sprays.

really..? decoy sprays are hilarious and yes, they are meant to distract. train your brain to notice that it's a spray and not an actual player at first sight and you'll be fine.

if not, your dead meat. but who cares? it's a GAME.. wait, it is a game, right?

I can easily tell the difference between a spray and a real Player.
Anyway sprays with a-lot of text more distracting because I can't help reading it.

the best part of them is when someone shoot at a crouching guy or a vent, its just awesome to see them realize that theyve been pranked hard and fast!

I got owned by a decoy spray once, it became real and shot at me

lol, nice!

Personally, I think some of my non-decoy sprays are much more distracting...like the ones with a ton of words or the girl farting under water. People take more time to look at those than at decoys if they're a good player.

I get lol's outta shooting at them. Especially at the end of West Hall where the terrorists come out.

Sprays should always stand out because any FPS player is never going to be standing still. Even campers are constantly looking turing around and checking their flanks. If someone is not moving, shoot them. If they die, it's their fault. If it's a spray, move on.

I know they are currently allowed on the CSS servers, but I really think they give an unfair advantage. How are they not cheating?

"Unfair advantage" implies that one party is capable of using them and another is not.

"Cheating" implies that someone is violating (knowingly and deliberately) the terms of a competition by which all competitors have agreed to and are bound.

"Hacking" is a type of cheating. A method whose outcome is typically the ability for a player to run faster, jump higher, reload less often if at all, play with virtually no input, see what cannot be by others and the like. These things give an unfair advantage to the player that use them.

This is the bulk of what we need our admins to focus on. We are burdened with too few of admins to sacrifice to the cause already, no need to add the burden of frivolous regulation.

Stuff like this is for the drop box, but I say its for the birds..

They're not allowed in DoD competetive play, but in usual server use so long as it's not competetive I see no problem
