Jailbreak Traps - Keep them to a minimum!

What is your opinion concerning Traps (complicated and/or misleading orders?)

  • The amount of trap orders is fine & not too complex. Ts should listen better to instructions.

  • Traps are too frequent and unfairly reduce the number of Ts. This negatively affects gameplay.

Traps are okay sometimes, but often (remember, this opinion is a month or two outdated) are used too often.

if there wasn't any traps, then rounds would almost always end with lockdown.
Instead of complaining about traps we should make a thread to come up with new games to play instead of "ban trivia and unban simon, then ban simon and unban trivia" each year.
Or new ideas for mapper to create built in games such as simon or four corners(ok maybe not four corners). In one of the maps they have a Tic Tac Toe, maybe you could expand on that.

Completely agree...but we still use traps and most rounds end in lockdown.

Sorry have to disagree with you on this one. I consistently run full day with Ts and rarely end up with lockdown. I have rarely if ever played cheap games like trivia, take it or leave it, temptation etc. The ability to move Ts around and thin out the crowd so that everyone has fun is a learned skill, you just don't develop that overnight.

We have several threads on fun games you can do with the Ts it's just rarely utilized. I come up with new stuff all the time but most wardens are content to keep playing the games they are familiar with and thus Jail stagnates.

Practice moving Ts around, practice making new games up, practice practice practice. That's what it comes down to. Don't be afraid to die either.

Tarps are fun, they keep water off things and keep sand pits dry!

On the real topic however keep the rounds moving if your going to delay the round trying to do a megalargeepicawesomeultra trick then dont do it. If its going to kill someone and make them sit there for the whole 11 minute round dont do it. Sure you can be strict but its just boring.
