i'm just wondering what the official stand is on this spot. i've seen some players use it, and some players say it's a glitch.

Sounds like Donner to me.

You can jump up into a ledge in the donner suze and crawl around basically in the roof.

Just jumping on a "ledge", not a glitch. Glitches are things similar to clipping textures, or getting outside the boundaries in maps, or spots like the one on Anzio when you walk up the steps near bridge and you can see through the building. I have never seen simple jumps considered as glitches. (But then again, in COD4 they consider a lot of jumps as "glitches".) I'm not sure what the admins think, they can push whatever agenda they would like.

as long a when you stand , the bulk of you body is viewable in this spot, and there's some type of object benith you(e.g. a ledge) ..it's not a glitch.

Yeah, thats not a glitch, you can still be shot and shoot out.

Relation to Realism: Did you know?

Did you know that because of Capt. Kirk using that spot during one of the very first Realisms is what caused the rule (That should have been obvious) that you must use realistic spots?

All the 'regular' Donner admins, myself included), have been admining people off that spot for at least more than a year (since I joined eGO). People don't get up there often, but when they do it's always been a simple request or warning and they get off real quick without incident. Nobody's argued that the spot is or should be legit either. If GLT's response is the final and official word, then I'll go ahead and spread the word amongst the Donner admins who don't come to the forums regularly. Like Kiwi, I'd like to confirm it.

That spot has been disallowed from before I was even in eGO. We had this issue clarified before and it was ruled the spot should not be allowed.

Yep, hence the current confusion and need for clarification --

Back in May, leadership (Matt With a Cat and Angreifen) said that spot is -not- allowed.

However, Greenlight Terror is implying it is now. Help?

I think what we got from Angreifen was a ruling, and what we got on this thread from Green is his opinion, but clarification would be good. Until I hear otherwise I will simply ask pubers to hop down and not go up there again. I have never had an issue when asking them nicely and I doubt that will change.
