Mic problem

I tried to solve that problem using some admins in jailbreak server, but no one could give me an answer good enough to solve it.

as the title say, i have a problem with my mic. undefined i'd say. in general, my mic works everywhere. skype, msn, voice recording, online games, etc. it is fulyl configured and works properly. the mic is built in a toshiba satellite laptop using vista home premium. i have tried anything i could bring up my head and with some admins help to solve it, yet nothing worked.

as soon as i go in game, the mic testing works, i can hear myself loud and clear, but when i go in a server it just wont work no matter what i do.

i'd really appriciate if you could help me fix it!:facewall: :chair:

:| wasnt that clear enough? i've said everythin that i could think of..
the mic simply wont work for me when i go to any game in CSS. it shows that it hears me, it shows that im pressing the right key, yet no one can see me or hear me talking. like im not doing anything at all

Maybe an admin muted you and forgot to unmute you.

Do you have the mic boost enabled in-game?

i had an admin to check if im muted and i wasnt, since i never used my mic even ONCE ever since i got css. and yeah. i tried with it enabled and without it. same result

If you were on the Terrorist team, you cannot talk on the mic.

Only CT can use the mic. Try our other servers as well to make sure it works in other servers.

i was hoping to skip all the little details, i did say i tried everything i could think of, yes including being on ct team, and going in any other css server. doesnt work.

Hmm. Could it be your Options don't allow in-game voice chat?

It does not sound like a CS:S issue.

do you have the mic bound to a key correctly? just a thought? You say that it tests well in game correct, so im not entirely sure what the problem could be. Try going into control panel and setting your mic as your default device, other than that im not sure. Also try posting in tech help, they see these things quite a bit, hope that helps
