No. The rumor is that FUTURE updates "might" not be free if you buy it after alpha.

I don't see that happening though. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah, and only the ones after Minecraft is actually released, which I see happening in, say, a year, or a year and a half.

People in my class used to play this non stop last year summer.

I really saw no point in it, I mean you just dig... it's just a sandbox that allows you to dig and dig. I just can not understand and it and never really got it or understand the goal and concept of it but hey it's popular and lots of people seem to like it. Whatever makes them sleep easier at night I guess.

It also lets you build and build.
Oh, and it's pretty challenging to actually expand your buildings and survive at the same time.

dont forget exploring caves. i love this especially when one cave leads into another one and you find a huge cavesystem.
