Players bashing, has it happend to you?

I took a break from Team Fortress 2 on Saturday last week and picked up my old companion, Counter Strike Source.
When it comes to skill I am a bit under decent so, I decided to join a deathmatch server. Upon joining after few minutes, some of the players began to bash on my for having my tag of E on my name, and of course name calling had been followed

some of the quotes if I remember correctly have been
"You think you're mature?!?"
or
"You know your clan is named Ego, and people there have a lot of Ego"
or simply
"Your clan sucks"
there were a lot more bashing but I cannot say due to language circumstances.
I ask you Ego members, did you experience any of these while playing?
the question is out of curiosity

Oh yeah, tons of annoying immature and/or foolish people live outside of our clan and know about us and don't like us.
Someone once killed me OOC in GMod DarkRP because I was in eGO. Of course, DarkRP being ridiculously hard to admin, nothing was done about it...

Yeah. That's why I don't play with my tag on or with a completely different name when playing non-ego servers/games.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting how angry people get when we kick them out for breaking our rules.

Honestly I don't play in non-eGO servers. No need to!

Ive seen/experianced it before heck, just go to www.youtube.com and type in Edge gamers and youll get hate videos. But i dont let 'em get to me. Haters gonna hate.

Actually there is no place in any of our forums for this type of thread Aggressive_Napkin. Even though I feel your pain, we do not need to tell everyone how great we are, how fair we are, etc. etc., even though it is prob.... Sorry I was getting carried away. We do not want this type of post to become too inflammatory, so it is not allowed.
