CSS - no voice input

Was hoping someone could help with this. Vent/WoW in game voice chat/MW2 voice chat works great.

Unfortunately for me my CSS in game voice chat is NOT working. I do not have the little 'speaker' pop-up on the bottom right hand of my screen when I hold my binded key.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what steps to take in this case. If anyone could help me out, that'd be great.

It worked at one point, and I wish i could remember if I changed anything, but it has 'randomly' stopped working.

what bums me out the most, is that wow works, and vent... but not css...

Is voice enabled in CSS? Have you checked voice settings? Have you done a "Test Microphone" in css options?

Voice is enabled. There doesn't seem to be any other 'settings' for me to mess with in the voice tab.

When I click test microphone, as soon as I click it it gets 'unclicked'

Assuming you're using Windows, make sure your Microphone is set as your default recording device.

I can't speak for WoW, but Ventrilo allows you to select a device for your microphone, however CS:S automatically uses whichever is set to the default. Right click your microphone in this list and make sure it's set as the default.

Restart CS:S to take effect.
