In regard to event's we will just have to work out better times and only have event's when a server is empty just like how BC2 division dose it.
This change is still about 3+ months away and a lot can happen in that time so we just have to see how things pan out. LOL the Ins dev team might come back to life who knows; Fat chance on that one but hey.
How is PVK 2 doing? Any recruits? Anyone playing the game?
Maybe we should use that server for our expansion into these other games.
Sorry for putting PVK2 under the bus but it's much easier for me to do that than put Ins under the bus lol.

This tread is not about PVK2. It has nothing to do with the fact that we have only been allotted 2 ins servers after RO2 comes out. It will most likely be cut as well.

For me this is a no brainer. (I agree with Jason)
Remove the event server.
Keep dust 2 and fire fight.
We can always lock either server for events.

If dust really ends up going, i like your idea of replacement. But, the server name is going to have to tell pubs that dust moved to that server. I'd hate to see dust go, it brings a lot of enjoyment amongst eGO members to hang out in there. We have a dedicated pub following, our friend Willis being one of them. But really, if its a must go its a must go and there isn't much that can be done about it. What i suggest is if you really want to keep dust around, start filling it up and working hard at it. I used to keep the server alive in the wee hours of dawn so something like this would never happen. I suppose its time to do it again.

I would have to say event should go. I have to admit that I was quite surprised when Dust was floated as an option for receiving the axe. Playing on the Dust server is how I found and was recruited to eGO. While Dust is not always full as opposed to Firefight, it is full enough for it to stay. The event/rotation server is often empty unless there is a specific event such as 2 vs 2 going on and I imagine that for special INS events we can always commandeer one of the remaining servers for that purpose.

Event server isn't known as much , if people see it empty they won't go into it.
Or people try to make the effort to start the fire , or you'll see a valuable server go for a counter strike server :/

I think the Dust server would be the more likely option to get locked for event. The rotation server is a lot busier and for a lot longer.
Also, we used the Dust server as an event server earlier since it was empty when the event server had 14 people in it. I know, as of late, the Dust server hasn't had as many people as it used too, since I've tried to start populating it a few times.
Lowering the slots is not an option. As Burt has stated when RO2 is released we will only be allotted 2 instances of Insurgency.
And EC policy will change once this change occurs. For instance, the server with the lowest activity on it will be locked for the event.

Its seems to me that were still trying to polish a turd....Reguardless of what server we get rid of, in the near future INS will die. Even with our MOD division still throwing money at the servers, there will be less and less people playing it. its just that time. Find out what server gets MOST attention in the last 2 months, and i think that will be the answer.

I voted for the Events/Fun server to go because when it comes down to it, thats server is barley used. That means money that is being spent but not used. It could be better allocated to other parts of the division to help keep stuff running.
