I'm getting kinda bored of FPS games, so I wanna try MMORPG. I have WoW but I can't get into it... Guild Wars, EVE and Aion are out of the question; don't wanna buy them :P

Thanks,
Krysalist :3

Well if you cant get into WoW then Runes of Magic is out of the picture, and so is Lord of the Rings Online. Have you tryed Dungeons and Dragons online? I really liked the way it was set up and the gameplay is fantastic. Tons of quests and you are in a dungegon! WHAT MORE TO ASK FOR!

Naa I don't wanna play LoTH :L I'm narrowing my choices... But Runes of Magic? I'll try that. With WoW I just got annoyed with the exp.

Well, with WOW i know most people like you can't get into it for the exp but i thought the same thing then i actually sat down and played it, not to mention i bought all the expanison packs which made the game open to more possiblitys so it was easier to get hooked.

DC Universe Online is coming on the 11th. Looks very good IMO, can't wait to get into it.

DC Universe Online is now released, and i can say it is an AMAZING game.

If only it wasnt a monthly subscription game, i'd continue playing it (im broke)

Dungeons and Dragons is not a good game, by the way.
Nothing special!
What did you find in it?!

How do you not like DDO? Its, literally, Oblivion Online- plays like a hack and slash action, yet still holds onto its MMO roots, and the raids in there are epic. + Killing yourself more than the enemy kills you is entertaining in its own right (darn you rage, you give me more CON but then take it away :().

Runes of Magic is not that good- and takes ALOT of rl cash for you to be moderately successful (and even MORE if you want to be competitive) in terms of gear- and competitive isn't the top, its just able to finish most dungeons. Haven't played in about 6 months though, so let me know if the situation change, because I really liked my Druid/Scout HOT healer of dewm.

Give warhammer online a try.. unlimited play for free (with restrictions) but doesn't hamper game play much.

If you like your sci-fi stuff you could try StarWars Galaxies, but its been on the serious decline for a while. Pay to play btw

I am currently trying perfect world which is at 38% dl right now. All below are completly free also and on the website ^
Yet i did like these.
Atlantica online - Turn based mmorpg. Very good player base with a lot of servers. Most players seem to very friendly. There is a lot to occupy you so that you hardly get bored.

Flyff - Very fun cut mmorpg yet I always stopped after I got to a lvl of 70. The exp rate is decent and the game has 4 starting classes when u reach lvl 15 u pick one. Then lvl 60 u can 2 classes for every starting class. Such as; Assist - Bp, or RM (Billposter or RingMaster) they are currently making even more classes. 1 for ever one like blade (lvl 60 class to) Storm blade (unknown wat lvl 3rd job is)

Silkroad - Based on china with a good amount of choosable classes and pets to help you on your way. You can get basic element skills with every class such as lightning, fire, and ice. I found it very fun with its large player base and quests.

Vindictus - Very unique free mmorpg. You can actually control your person with wasd and hit with left and right click. There are currently only 3 classes but I found it very fun and addictive. The quests are fun but its hard to understand what to do becuase of them. Every once in awhile it will tell you to kill something and not tell u where it is. So that would be its con. Although the graphics and gameplay make up for it. The world is your weapon as u can use boxes and wood planks to hit your enemies with.

Runes of magic - Looks almost exacly like Wow. Its classes are very unique if you ignore that fact. There are plenty to choose from some being: Beastmaster, gremlin things (idk there name, they hunt in 3 as 1 character.) Ect. It is also goes with a dual class mode.

Flyff: Too much of a grind feel for me so I never really liked it.

Vindictus: Last time I played it had a horrible peer to peer party system so EVERYONE expect the host lagged.

Rest I never played.

Well I tried Runes of Magic, but It won't work! Just freezes my PC at a black screen when I launch it o.O But with those that are Pay to Play, that's a no go for me; I'm broke.

that sounds like a firewall issue, try starting it in windows mode and see if anything pops up that is asking for permission or something like that

anyway i just went back to pristontale myself - i like to visit MMOs i used to play in the old days all the time, and after i quit league of legends i needed something to fill my time. i prefer private servers for most free MMOs too because the xp grind on normal servers (flyff anyone?) is absolutely disgusting, and the amount of necessity for donation is pretty high up there too.

flyff, pristontale (old but always fun IMO), ROSE, are my favourites. other worthies that i've played are MU online, grand fantasia, cabal online,
