lol Darth! I remember having the ones with a parachute, I use the chuck them down the stairs and watch them glide 12 hours a day! Until the parachute all got tangled, was probably the best sort of fun a child could have :D

I miss those good ole days of playing with my green army men in the dirt until my friends stole them =(

i shot most all mine with my pellet gun. then proceeded to melt them into one gelatinous blob which i then buried in the back yard. although that wasnt all of them. i still have a place in my heart for those brave tiny green heroes.

As Synergy said, I also had an army parachute "guy". I use to climb up onto my roof and throw him as far as I could. I regret to inform you that my green men have been missing for several years. The parachute guy is the only survivor...

Bucket o' Soldiers.

I only had green in three positions:

- Standing up shooting.
- Stading up nading.
- Prone shooting.

my dad and i used to play with them all the time. we had the green and tan ones. we had a huge bucket of wooden blocks and so we would divide up the blocks and make forts. then we would place all the soldiers in and around the forts and try too shoot each others soldiers with rubber bands. it was soooooo much fun. I wish i still had all that stuff because it was more fun than playing video games sometimes.

I have about 50 soldiers, various kinds. Some destroyed teal ones, and 1 N64 Game and 2 PS1 games.

Sometimes, I would combine the Green army men with my massive Hot Wheels city collection to add some spice to it

Oh yeah, the Army Men video games were pretty great. They were just unpopular enough that they were always available cheap, but I have many good memories of melting people with flamethrowers (and not-so-good memories of being melted, of course).

Wow, those do bring back OLD memories. I got curious and looked up how long they have been around.

According to wiki
the plastic figures were sold en masse in clear plastic bags with an illustrated header card in different sizes and prices since the early 1950s.

I grew up in the 70's/80's, before the computer age.. and lived WAY out in the country. Your imagination was your best friend back then. Kids today would go insane if they had to "slow" down like that.
