What would you like to see in 2011

Honestly not trolling here, I would like 2 Jail servers again.

Been playing cs bit by bit, and when I do im usually with my rl friend playing zombie escape. I would love to see the ze server comeback. It was such a hit when we had it. Maps like blackmesa were bit overplayed but we can just add new maps. As I played in the different servers I saw some awesome maps. I posted about this in the drop box once too, asking for a ze comeback but got no response. I was just confused as to why it was removed after its popularity. There were plenty of eGO members any time I went in the server so keeping it under control wouldn't be a problem...I think.

Not Trolling as well, but I'd love to see Mostly Harmless play together with us, especially during events.

He has done alot for the servers, he should be really playing with us. :)

As for events, seems all good in my point of view, but reaaly wish for Soccer Night twice per month.

We could have a 50/50 draw - We put in whatever amount of CC into a pot and whose ever name is picked wins (picked names are from the people who bet); Depth: So lets say the amount to place was 10K cc and for however many people put that in the winner drawn will get half the pot. The other half could go towards event winnings (like knife kills or winning the event, etc) - the cc will go towards the next upcoming event or which ever appropriate event coming up next.

Server wise, a Minigame server would be pretty cool. Reasoning? Well they're mini games. Or like a 24/7 Prodigy Server!! :O

Have Rogue start/finish on fixing Assault _Redux, or just putting back to the old one.

It would be nice to have a Jail Admin class sometime this year! :glare:

I would like to expand to a different demographic.

Our division sometimes has a reputation for being the young guys division with maturity to match. I think that some of the events and servers cater very successfully to that younger demographic. I turn 29 this month and feel ancient in the division most of the time. Visiting some of the other divisions, I feel a totally different dynamic in game. How do we appeal to that slightly older group?

For me that involves having some sort of 'silly-free' server. We had the scrim rotation server for a bit that I actually really enjoyed (and got totally owned on). A 20 slot competitive map rotation server sounds delicious to me. Stuff like that appeals to me much more than some of the other stuff we have. I would be totally cool if the Scrim Team used me as target practice some time.

I LOVED Night Fever.

Also, as someone who works for a living, it is a stretch for me to get home in traffic, eat dinner with my wife, and then make a 7 PM CST event. Lots of times I am available at 8PM CST when the event is just ending.

I loved Comp Rotation. Would be much better with added slots.

I agree with what Nosh said.

I think a larger comp rotation server would be appealing. 6 on 6 get's kind of repetitive after a while since you're playing against the same players.

But then again, I understand that a larger server would mean more lag overall and/or another server being taken away.

As I said before, add in a rotation server if you were to add a new server, but as for events, scrims and more of the climb events sound good

You guys are saying comp rotation, but the last time Zoomer got the server goin no1 was ever in it besides the scrim team like barely ever...

We were able to fill it... Sometimes?

A rotational server is all CS:S div is missing (in my opinion).

[InsertTrollOpinionHere]Oh, and get rid of jail! :)[/InsertTrollOpinionHere]

Actually, I was one of the few people who filled it up the most... I hardly saw the scrim team members there, and sometimes I waited for nearly an hour before leaving because no one else wanted to join. I did that nearly every day until they took it off. Also, I think it would have gotten more traffic if there were actually ranks on the server

I'd like to see more Euro events. Things such as LMS, Minigame night, Late Night Fight, all stuff like that is stuff I'd love to see in Euro times. It would allow more people that aren't over in the States to play the great events, and probably enjoy EdgeGamers more than ever.

I think that we should split the de_dust server into 2 different servers (much like we did with the jail servers). The two servers would be the original de_dust , the second server would be like our test server; we would have a vote each month to choose game modes and maps. This would be good because we would be able to have a bunch of "special" games going on a server and we would still be able to keep de_dust (which is not usually using all its slots).

The second server would work like this:
* People can vote for the games and maps they want on the server (ex. Zombie mod, hide n' seek, mini-games ....), this would change each month (or on some sort of basis). The only thing is that there may only be ONE game mode at a time. (ex. Zombie mod only for one month, Hide n' seek another month.) I think this will get people on eGO servers because, currently eGO only supports one mod in its main server listing (which is jail mod). One more point I would like to make is that if one mod looses popularity or something like that, the server's game can be changed to something completely different, so players will have a dynamic experience so the games don't get "dull".

good idea, although I would be z-mod 24/7

I agree with a bigger rotation server. I don't think CS:S should be limited to dust2 and office.
