I actually pitched something like this months ago, but it was buried deep in one of my threads--we should have scrims where your team is based on your geographical location.

"Tonight we have the New York City ItalianButchers taking on the Oklahoma State CalfWranglers. The winner of tonight's match will play next week for the championship against the winners of tomorrow night's Denmark Mermaids v. Pacific Northwest Rainmakers matchup..."

Post Reply if you are interested. Also, make sure to contact people in your state/country--try to assemble a team! Let me know who is "in" so I can add them to the list.

Anybody interested should sign up and everybody who signs up should try to get other people involved. If you are the only person in your city/state/country, you get combined with nearby states/countries. Pretty simple!

That sounds kinda interesting. I always thought it would be cool if players wore tags on their names that would designate where they are from. Think it would make it more personable if you saw someone wearing the same tag as you, maybe strike up an interesting convo and/or friendship.

Yeah but with this...you could work your way progressively up to a "World Title". Plus it would be interesting to see some teams with one really good player and a bunch of sub-par players taking on teams of a bunch of half-decent players.
 
Yeah but Texas (And her other various Southern State Compadres) would win. Why bother?
 
Lets see, tags based on where we are from.....so that would make me =(e)=™Major_Payne(From Hell)......
 
Pretty legit idea.

We should just start signing up if interested to see how many people would wanna do it.

If you live in a major city (over 1 million population) just put your city.
For the rest of us...
A) In the US do state (for the big states we can break it down later)
B) In Canada do province/territory
C) Other countries, just do country (I don't think we have huge amounts of people in any one country)

I know myself, Ides of March, Megs a Tagger, masterp, vudu and now Blasphemy are all in Washington State.

Rules should be you can play for where you live now, or where you are from.

Can't say it's been done before, but when we did Canada vs. the USA, the U.S. dominated ;)

Also...yes I know there was the Canada-US thing and this is definitely similar, but also definitely different. Other countries can now represent themselves. Also, the B.C. boys (there is a good handful of them I know) can take on all the Toronto dudes, etc.

And before anybody mentions that the US-Canada thing only got x people...this would be over multiple different nights, just a short half-hour or so each (run it like the actual DoD scrims), so...people will be more likely to be able to make it, thus allowing more to make it.

Pretty much what I am saying is--it will work if people are interested. And I can set it up/run it (the next question out of leadership lol).
