Motion to Change Title of MOD Division

I think this comes down to the conclusion of "Do we really still like playing insurgency and can we rely on it yet again?"

I sadly don't know due to the fact of most of us are getting interested in other games and different things to play. I myself am starting to loose interest for ins, it may sound funny since a lot of gentlemen like myself map and port over maps for Ins. And I dont think we will just get rid of Insurgency, though it will still be the game that brought us together and will most likely still be in the list of games we still play together. But if we do change "back" into Insurgency division, we wont have darkest-hour/red orchestra or any other game to have servers on.

So i'd be careful of what we ALL wish for...

Or how about people read the INS does *NOT* have to stand for the game- the fact that there is a game named insurgency is just a plus. Insurgency- go look it up in a dictionary and vote for it because its awesome.

Is this really what you want the name of our division to mean?

Then think about what eGO is and why we are in eGO.

For the not so fast people, it means that we are a group of people here to make a change from the norm in the gaming world, no mater what game where playing. Hopefully that helps!

I say Insurgency because as Jason said we are here to change, to go out of the way and make something new and different, to fight for our own cause against the good or bad (since we are both ). We are rebels who battle for what we want, not what someone forces on us.
And because INS is how all of this began, and I want it to see continue being that way.

Guys... i voted for ins at first. But i now realize something that i should have thought about from the conversations i've had with leadership in the past. Insurgency is no longer our only recruit bringer, it is no longer the only game we have in this division. They're trying to move us into a territory where this division will STILL BE HERE. The main reason they made the motion to start adding more games is because of the threat that this division would be removed from eGO.

We have to put aside our selfishness in this area as i do myself. We all want to return to being the INS division but the fact of the matter is we cant rely on INS anymore. This is about the division and the organization as a whole, what's best for the division isn't always what we want. Have faith in your leadership. I was honestly surprised it was even an option. I was very happy and i know many of you were as well when i found out they made the decision to keep a few of the servers up for ins and gave it a second chance. The point is we cant name this division the INS division anymore because that's not the only game we support now. It causes confusion for new recruits coming from the other games and people questioning why we renamed the division that way. All I'm saying is think about it.

Hopefully you will read this post instead of overlooking it because of the length.

We all want INS as our name for various reasons, and just because we have that name as a division doesn't mean we dont support other games as well.
For example.. u have a recruit from INS and he asks.. do u guys only support INS.. you will say no and say we have the other games, then ull mention all the other divisions and he will be like O_O OMG <3 Like I said earlier.. INS is how we made it start, we want to see it live by that name as well

well leadership must have been happy to have the name ins put in for the vote or they wouldnt have allowed it in there to be voted on.
but yes i agree with gunney we have to put aside selfish thoughts and do whats best for the division.
i love ins and thats my roots but i didnt vote ins because we needed something new.
hence my vote for CAR

I don't really see the point of the name Insurgency. If we go by the definition of "Insurgency" it doesn't really stand for what we are. The arguments that it does stand for what we are is a variation of switching words around and having a deeper meaning than what it appears to have at first glance.

I don't think we should have a name that we need to explain the meaning of to other people. Insurgency would be too esoteric to cover all 3 games and it would explain 1 of 3 games that we are going to support.

We are going into to 3 tactical shooters that is why I am voting for the TAC Division.
The name is simple and it pertains to all 3 games. Not just one game.

I don't mean to offend anybody, just sharing my opinion

but it shouldnt make us make silly choices because our roots are from ins.
I think we should have ins removed from the poll and start again !
or take the top 3 into a new poll so people can then choose again maybe making a diffrent dissision bassed on the findings here.
people voted with there hearts and have since regreted it.

Probably a great suggestion...especially if leadership isn't going to want to keep INS no matter what the vote is - especially if it is close.
