lol.

Eyefinity in words:

New games, work 90% of the time, for the other 9% there is a fix/hack.

Older games work about 30% of the time, usually run them in single screen.

The effect is priceless. The level of immersion is amazing, it is completely worth the $480 i spent on it.

I hope I get two more monitors pretty soon. I've been wanting to try out Eyefinity since I heard about it.

I want a second monitor so I can full-screen it up and still see ventrilo/websites. Don't know if I've got the desk space for it, though. Most certainly can't put Eyefinity on.

Thats basically wat im doing now. So useful now, can read stuff while playing games or waiting to respawn lol

I want 3 monitors tho for the Nvidia surround gaming setup or w/e

Should just pick up 3 cheap 19 inch monitors lol

So when I play games at 1920x1080, I get this black stripe around my monitor. I remember Phobus told me something about how to fix it, but I can't remember. Either that or it was a joke and I disregarded it. So, anyone know anything about that?

Using HDMI?
Go into CCC and turn off scaling in the desktop properties.

I enjoy it a lot. I wouldn't say it gives you a competetive advantage in FPS multiplayer games (in fact, expect to get worse at the start because you will be distracted by the sides -- you learn to only look at the center), but it certainly is fun. I play a lot of flight sims, ArmA2, driving games etc. and it works great in those. I would almost suggest TrackIR over eyefinity for those types of games though (both is awesome). As far as eGO games -- it works perfectly in TF2, BC2, CoD (with widescreenfixer -- unsure about Black Ops and getting banned, but CoD4 is fine), etc. It should work in all source games but I haven't tried anything outside of TF2 (custom hud fix) and the Orange Box.

I wouldn't suggest it if you are expecting to actually look at the side monitors (they are for peripheral vision and are heavily fisheyed in most games) -- you get used to them just providing a cool effect. You should also expect to spend a lot of time creating custom HUD fixes for your bezel corrected resolution -- don't get it if you don't want to tinker. (widescreen gaming forum)

Basically everything I play works once you tinker with it (even old games). Most unreal engine games do not, or have heavily stretched huds (I play Killing Floor w/ a stretched HUD). Monday Night Combat currently is not working. Starcraft 2 will most likely nevery work (not allowed). I'm loving Fallout: New Vegas in it though (.ini HUD fix) -- I played the original FO3 w/o and this is pretty spectacular.

Lots of screenshots here (love the new Steam Beta -- adding more every day):

So far it's looking like the next bench will infact be at 1680x1050.

Majority vote. That's how it works.
Sorry man. Put your big boy pants on and deal with it or don't participate.
