Well I was looking for tablets/ereaders that would suit my budget and would allow me to move on from my quite trusty iPod Touch 32gb. I know it's a resistive touchscreen and I can live with that, multitouch isn't that important in the end. I'm looking for a tablet to act as an ereader, play music and movies and allow the ocassional game, no matter how simple that may be. It also has to be 7'' which means there is a large market.
This thing only costs ?199.99 and it looks pretty good, especially when it eventually gets it's android 2.2 update and adds the android store so you don't have to manually implent them.
What's your take, does anyone here have one?

For the price it's a great buy, judging from reviews.

Keep in mind, anything with the Android OS will act as an eReader as well, so there should be a huge market for them.

You can order it from Creative's site for ?199.99 with free shipping

Sorry, we were talking about the Barnes and Noble Tablet.

Have you thought about a Kindle? I don't believe they play music, but they are very cheap.

The kindle doesn't do music, video, applications or web. Something I'm not willing to replace my iPod with :/

Archos tablet?? They're cheap, but the quality of the materials kind of reflects that just like the Creative. You get what you pay for =/

Personally, i would want a more high end tablet like the new dual-core ones coming out but what i want to do it a lot different from what you do.

Maybe you should look into the Dell Streak? You can probably get an unlocked one for around $300 and its by far a better experience/device than the Creative

Pew, the Archos tablets are rather bad in comparison. The Archos 7 home has a screen
as bad as the Pandigital Novel, ew. The Internet tablet is more expensive and is more expensive. As for the streak, it's only a 5 inch screen and I'm unsure that it's going to be worth it when it is around ?350 unlocked

If you really want a tablet just wait until the iPad 2 comes out and see how much the first one drops in price. In the end it's going to come down on much you want to pay for one.
