So my grandfather (henceforth known as Pappy) has had his second heart attack and he's probably not going to make it through this one since it was fairly extensive in terms of damages caused. I may be relatively quiet for a while or not playing at all. This man is one of the few people I attribute my gaming lifestyle to as well as my personal attributes as a person and is probably one of three people in the world that made me who I am today. He's also the first person in my entire family that I'll actually miss a whole lot when he's gone.

I'll still make the meeting tonight and speak if I need to, but aside from that I don't intend on doing much. Figured I'd let you guys know since this has essentially put a halt to everything I'm doing outside of school and work.

I'll be on steam and probably in-game as well, but I dunno about vent much. :/

oh man im sorry to ear the that.... if u need to speak u have a friend here.

Sorry to hear that my friend, my condolences to you and your family.

We are here if you need us, we are a unit, family, and friends. If you need us just let us know troop.

I'm actually not that remorseful to be honest. The only reason I wouldn't talk much is because I generally keep quiet when stuff like this happens.

To be perfectly honest, when he does eventually pass away later in the month or whenever it may be I'll be happier knowing he's not sitting in that hospital bed living through a machine unable to play games with anyone.

He's ex-military, not exactly sure which branch but I know he did weapons training and testing for a few things, although I'm still not sure about what since he's not very vocal about that knowledge due to the weapon systems still being used today and all that stuff. I'm sure some of you military guys can agree that being hindered by a tube down your throat is absolutely miserable.

Anyways, I appreciate the friendliness from all the eGO members that are aware of this, I'll keep it in mind. :)

Here's a picture of him and Sadie, the most obnoxious creature on earth. (Attachment, apparently I can't upload pics while at work to imgur)

Edit: He beat a guy across the face during a war with his fake leg by the way, I consider this man awesome in all ways for this. Seriously.

I'm sorry to hear this. Though it seems like he had a good life.

And could really pack a punch.

Sorry to here this Panda. My grandfather is the same way with me, basically my second father. So, I can imagine how this feels.

Panda,

I'm sorry to hear about your pending loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this time of need. If there is anything you need, don't hesitate to ask.

On a side note, when I was 8 and my little brother was 5, he kicked my butt when he took off his leg and beat me unmercifully with it.

Leftenent.

Condolences

If you need anything Panda, just hollar. If you decide you need an ear or whatever just let me know.

AngryPanda, I am extremely sorry to hear that. Your grandfather was probably a great man, and will be blessed that he can be at ease now. My prayers go out to you and your family and hope to see you around.

If there is anything you need I'm here...

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sounds like he has lived a fulfilling life; there isn't much more that you can ask for.
