i just started messing around with my mouse acceleration today, and it just seems like another slider for sensitivity, am i wrong?
can someone explain what it is? is it better to have it high or low?

Its designed to allow you to controll your own sensitivity, there's no right or wrong, its personal preference...

To answer your direct question: Yes it is another controller for sensitivity...

Acceleration is how fast you move your mouse. if you move your mouse slow the arrow will move less quickly across the screen, but if you move your mouse fast it will accelerate across the screen. It's hard to explain.

tbh bokk idk if your being sarcastic -__-

but if you were to put it into terms of physics, for instance, if i accelerate my mouse at 32 m/s/s, how long will it take me to reach the end of my 6 in long mouse pad?

Imagine it like pressing on a gas pedal, the more you press on it, the faster it'll go, the faster you move your mouse around, the more speed it'll pick up.

Pretty much this. The sensitivity in game is to help you counter what your main sensitivity is at.

okay im confused, is it actually ACCELERATING, picking getting faster and faster the longer i move it, or will its speed completely rely on how fast i move it in one wave of my hand?

Its speed moving across the screen is determined upon how fast you move your mouse. I wasn't being sarcastic. I hate trolls, why would I be one?

Turn mouse acceleration OFF. When it's on you're going to find it harder to flick shot because the faster you want your mouse to get to a location, the more it's going to overshoot.
Acceleration is simply adding a multiplier of the mouse movement delta onto the original movement of the mouse. To see it, move your mouse a little on your desk slowly, bring it back and then move the same area quickly, it doesn't go the same distance, it goes further and is generally hard to predict.

This.

turn off mouse acceleration, yes what eurocracy said, and turn off windows enhance pointer precision (start>control panel>mouse>pointer options>uncheck pointer precision). now put these commands in your launch options to totally get read of mouse accel -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd . right click steam>library> right click css> properties >set launch options. I have no idea why you would want mouse acceleration on it just makes you so much more inconsistent. Theirs no point in having it on idc about your preference.

Lower Dpi can get read of negative mouse acceleration depending on your mouse.

and also count 6 dots over and change your windows mouse sens to 6/11
its the most smoothest

These is not my ss, but it does explain it.

yes mouse acceleration is terrible, keep it off

basically if you move your mouse 1 inch slowly, then 1 inch quickly, the cursor will move much farther with the quick motion...its really bad and inconsistent especially with FPS games and flick shots

Yeah,

turn mouse accell off.

put this line in your css launch options:

-noforcemparms -noforcemaccel
