Meh, Call of Duty set the standards with iron sights and Modern Warfare just hammered that style of playing into the generation that guys games today.
Adjusting to a different style of playing would be a culture shock and suicide for a company. Take a look at Crysis 2. I played Crysis and it's a pretty fun game, has a nice feel and was fairly enjoyable.
I tried the multiplayer Crysis 2 demo on my Xbox and was thoroughly pissed off. It completely changed to Modern Warfare/Black Ops. That made me angry. They had a nice way of playing the game and caved towards the cash cow.
You can see that Homefront is going that way from the get go, so although that makes me a little sad, I'm not nearly as hurt from a fan's point of view.
If you've ever seen Red Dawn, it's the same guy who did that movie that is behind the story for Homefront. If you haven't...go watch it. Now.
