Indeed. It's not even a fair comparison, really. Phenom2 is still running on what, four/five year old architecture? Hopefully when Bulldozer gets released, they'll be really competitive.

Yea learning about parts and building was a lot of fun, I almost had my perfect dream system but new egg wanted 35 bucks just to return my graphics card, I have a 6870 sapphire( which turned out to be a beast for the price) but I wanted the new Nvidia 560 ti, sadly with all the parts in front of me i said screw it and built it up.

K, so I'm looking at a total of $883 right now, I expect to shave about $20 off with the combo deal, so $863. Not bad at all - the benchmark comparisons were amazing. Thanks!

If you need hyperthreading, get the 2600k over the 2500k. Sandy bridge is where its at.
