Just started playing DoD:S

I got gifted DoD:S a while back and I finally gave it a try a few days ago. I think it's great! But I'm terrible. I was wondering if you guys had any tips for a new player. What's the best map we have to learn on?

It is more of trial and error but if you want a map that is always full try out avalanche.

Flag captures are a very telling way of knowing where the enemy is. Sometimes this is called a wallhack. If an enemy is capturing/has just captured a flag, then they must be at or near that flag still. You know where they are, without having to see or hear them, and you can choose how to engage them as seen fit. The indicator of a flag capture can be seen in figures 1 and 2.

BTW, can you team kill in DoD:S? I don't want to try it in case it's possible.

Avalanche is a good map for beginners a good weapon is the thompson

no friendly fire is turned off on the servers. you might want to try out donner or anzio servers as well!

I tried out avalance first and loved it. I've been playing anzio also, so I guess I'll try out donner when I get a chance next

It takes a while to get used to, so don't get discouraged when you go like 3-12 in the first 5 minutes of playing.

It's like me and TF2. I haven't found a class that suits me yet, but once you find it, you'll have a blast.

hmm.... if you go play strand you better know how to use rifle,sniper or mg on axis side!! allies side you have to learn use rocket,rifle,assault class these class are key for victory on that map!! but i will have to say best learn those class are anzio

Sometimes I do bad in DoD:s, sometimes I do great, I can't explain it.

All you have to do is Spray n' Pray. You'll atleast go 1 - 30

When i started i played Assault class on Donner. Now im pretty good with Rifle/Assault/Support class. Play Assault in the beginning and learn the recoil from these 2 weapons when you have a positive score and doing good you can start play a another class. And yes in the beginning i had 5-66 score like that.. don't think about it chill out and have fun and you will learn it

I'd have to say that assault is the easiest to start out on, then grow to STG44, or support. MG works great too for a beginner
