Should Jomigirock buy Crysis 2?

A) Multiplayer is terrible. Absolute junk, especially compared to the first.
B) Its a 100% console port.
C) Single player is decent, but it is not good enough to warrant buying the game. Take that as you will.

From what I could tell in the beta, it's a completely different game from the first, but I kind of liked it, so I vote yes.

I own all Crytek games. IMO Crysis 2 >> Crysis >> Crysis Warhead >>>>>>>>>>>> Far Cry

Crysis 2 IMO is one of the best FPS's to be released this gen...the gameplay is engaging, the music is awesome and the graphics are SUPERB (seriously, this has to be one of the most polished and optimized PC games ever). I just loved the gameplay in here and Crytek addressed all problems present in the original (aliens were meh, and the second half was kinda lame). In Crysis 2 the aliens are fun to fight And you still have many options on how to approach a battle (Stealth, all out guns blazing or ninja style)

I really don't get the "consolized" bs people throw out. I mean you guys are seriously missing out on the Halo series which has THE BEST vehicular combat and AI in any FPS on any system. I thought Killzone 2 was very fun as well (Also liked the demo for Killzone 3)

Multi is awesome too...the suit abilities make it very fun to play. Buy it for sure! Its my GOTY

I disagree with that listing, though I did like Crysis 2 more than it's predecessors. I have to say that Far Cry is still Crytek's best game.

oh my!! Far Cry was SUCH a terrible game!! I still remember the main problems: The AI soldiers noticed you from way far away! I mean you could be on one side of the island they would snipe you from miles away....and the game simply fell apart after the horrible TRIGENS showed up. I can't fathom how anyone enjoyed that...it was simply AWFUL

Crysis 2 has the best alien designs out of all the Crytek games and more importantly they are FUN to fight against.

Maybe you are a bit too nostalgic, install and it and play it again. It is a terrible game for the reasons I stated. The only good thing about it were the graphics (at the time). It would have been a much better game if trigens were excluded.

Fairly certain he was asking it less like a "spend my money for me" thought and more like a "review this game for me in very broad terms, avoiding big words, and sum it up in 1 sentence or less so I can see if its worth my time to even consider it" thought.

I played through it again like a couple of months ago. The game still stands up, a bit challenging but still a fun game.
