Bring back the original grand marble?

Whilst this is true, you can at least try to please a majority. Most people don't like this change, so in the best interests of the people who actually play on the server, it would make the most sense to put the old one back up, right?
 
You guys are pretty much disrespecting the map, that took rogue a while to fix and redo, it takes time to get used to a map. The origianl grand marble ive played like 300 times when the server used to crash and go back to marble every other map.

Give the map a chance, get used to it and enjoy. No1 wants to do bhop every round.
 
yea this map isnt a updated grand marble its a completely new map, no offense to rogue devs turned out great insane lava is awesome but this map is just terrible, i think it should have just been released as a new map in general the previous grand marble owned the new one by far.

WE WANT THE PREVIOUS MARBLE BACK!!!

Agreed in the short time since this post has been up look how many votes there are to bring back the old one, I myself am a regular on jail and i can tell you now ill be the first to disconnect when that map is played.

Rogue you are a good mapper but there always a chance for a fail map and this map is that fail map
 
70% of the people that voted on this want grand marble back.. thats more than just half. All I'm asking for is a straight answer as to why it can't be added back into rotation.

I hardly think 40 people represent the whole jail following....

To answer your question it can't be added is probably because it had bugs, mainly the things where ts couldn't go certain places to kill camping cts. He wouldn't have updated it if there wasn't a reason. Furthermore Rogue made a new one, a new better one. I haven't had the opportunity to play it but usually most maps he makes are good, and they're only improvements on each other. I still remember egojail_v3 and prospekt and look how far we have come since then.

I personally think you should be happy with what you have, and this thread should be locked. If you don't like the map don't play it. I don't play station, especially on t, because I don't like it. You can do the same with this map, but I doubt you will because once you get used to it you will be fine with it. Like rogue said in 2 weeks we will all forget all about this. Just like we forgot about trivia, odd man out, the ban on simon says. Hell I remember when forest jail was removed and everyone wanted it back, but it didn't come back and now no one even knows what forest is much less cares if its on the rotation or not. And if you can't forget about it then by all means remake it yourself name, it something else and submit it for admission. Rogue I'm sure spent days if not weeks on making this and this whole poll, and the replies on here are basically saying you think his map is bad, and he did that work for nothing. Like Blebla said you are for all intensive purposes disrespecting him.

Grand Marble - Original was a map that quite a few people were attached to. I understand new maps are a treasure to have in the jailbreak community, but the fact that another map was replaced (Original Grand Marble) which had nothing wrong with it is quite unnecessary. I myself have experienced this new map and have come to a conclusion that it isn't as good as the old grand marble and therefore pursued into asking as to why the old grand marble wasn't just kept in the rotations at least ? And why were alterations made in the first place ? I don't mean any offence , just curiosity has the best of me right now and its a pity to see such an awesome map get discarded so easily :)

Everyone has their own opinions.
That being said, the following post is my constructive opinions based on my personal experience with the old version and new version.
I decided to post in the form of pros and cons.


Old Map - Pros:
-Hide in cells
-2 Vent Cells
-Cafe
-Non-Assisted BHop
-Deagles @ Shot4Shot
-Shot4Shot existance
-Couch Game
-Armory Accessibility

Old Map Cons:
-Ultra Damage Reduced Force Fields
-Fenced Cell Perimeter
-S4S Box On/Off Button Location

---------------------------

New Map Pros:
-Addition of Climb
-Addition of Maze
-Force Fields removed

New Map Cons:
-Can't Hide In Cells
-1 Vent Cell
-Vent takes 8 Right-Click Knives to open
-Assisted BHop that causes miss-jumps
-No S4S
- *Lack of hidden guns?
-No Couch Game
-Armory has a zig-zag obsticle climb course blocking it
-Cells completely fenced, causing a lot of running to get out cellblock/rebel

The things that were liked on the old version have been stripped out.

*This map is extremely CT sided.

An "upgrade" is when something is slighty changed/improved, keeping the good, removing that bad.

This map has only 2 things that remained the same:
-The top layer (Race and Park)
-The texture style of the map.

That being said, this isn't a new version of Grand Marble, it is a new map of its own.

Final Note:
The best analogy I can come up with that explains how I feel about the map replacing the old Grand Marble is the following.

At a restuarant, order your favorite meal.
Waiter says, "We no longer have that here, but we have an upgraded version of it!"
Pleased, I say, "Yes, I'll take that."
Food comes and it smells the same, but it looks completely different and taste a little funny.

I understand what you're saying, but by your logic we're supposed to just pretend to like every decision that gets made like a bunch of drones. I don't mean any disrespect to Rogue as I like every one of his other maps, and I already said the updates to Devs are excellent. Rogue is a great map maker, and he is most definitely mature enough to accept criticism, don't pretend he's some baby who can't handle people giving negative opinions about his map.

While I am not a fan of this Rouge Snipper fellow.. I think he's a egomaniac with psychological issues that should be checked out by a certified professional before anybody gets hurt..

But for cereal... I agree with bleblar. As wonderful as the old Grand Marble might be, changes are necessary in order to keep people interested in the server. If we don't have mappers constantly changing things up, server activity will drop faster than Parvo at an open bar.

I haven't played the new Grand Marble yet, but as long as it doesn't make my computer spaz, I'm willing to give it a shot!

Hmm, I don't quite get this. What are you basing this on? Our server does just fine with the occasional new map, there's pretty much no reason to go changing the good maps around. It would have gone down just fine as a new map.

Go play the map first then give me your 2 cents. As Tension already said, he's a mature guy, I'm sure he can take the criticism for the map, It's not like we're criticizing him.

The only bug I noticed with marbles was the random server crashing after it changes TO and FROM marbles.

Either way, the original marbles, had the 'marble' theme to it. Now it's gone.

Have you played it? How can a map be disrespected? Feedback is good, It's not supposed to be taken negatively. Playing it 300 times just shows how good and valuable it was.

'No1 wants to do bhop every round' - That could've been fixed with the new additions that were added to the new map (climb and maze) which are completely awesome. They could've just been added to the original marbles without having to change the complete look and feel of it.
