[JAIL] Bring back Grand Marble!

Bring back the original grand marble?

Criticism and bashing his map saying it "sucks" are two different things. No here seems to no why it's bad other than "it's harder to rebel". They just say they like the old one better. Apparently they don't deal with change well. And I would play the map if I could trust me, because by the way you guys make it seem by this thread it must be horrible. Although I doubt it's as bad as many of you guys make it out to be.
 
And obviously many others, looking at the votes? And no, I didn't make this thread because it's harder to rebel. I absolutely hate the map, and in my opinion it isn't even an upgrade. It's more like a completely new map.

There was NO reason to take the old map out. Please, give us one straight reason that the map needed to be taken out. This wasn't a community wide vote, this was a decision by a few people in council (as far as I know) who don't play the jailbreak server like most of us regulars do.

Yeah, to be honest though and not to be rude to anyone, but yeah around page 3 or 4 I just stopped caring about anything in this thread because of what the threads turned into. AKA you guys are fighting like we tell you not to, so basically everyone ones just gonna fight each other about the other side, I can just end this quickly and lock the thread because right about now its look more like I should.

So prove to me that you're all mature and can act civilized as members of EdgeGamers should. Also to those who have been playing Jail a year or less, you don't know the maps we once had, the server we once had, the arguments we once had (those were fun, oh yes...), so telling me you don't like this map, that map, those maps, that's great, I value your opinion, but when leadership decides something we decide it. There's not just me, its not just Evilbear, its not just Mostly Harmless, etc, its usually a few (two to four of the advisors, maybe bear, but usually hes napping or whatever a cat does) of us (depending on the time as everyone is rarely ever on all at once aha)... If you're not willing to be mature about the decision at hand then Im sorry. Its decided, but its usually okay that you may discuss a topic if it stays mature, civilized and grammatically correct (okay well this last one is optional) and if its appropriate and allowed, etc.

That's how all if not most decisions are made, however they are influenced by the community. Legend is on council and he plays jail, so does rogue who made the map. Also you say there was no reason to take the old one out, according to you, you might not know something that the council does. I play jail a lot, in fact it's pretty much the only video game I play with the exception of a few xbox games, I downloaded the map tonight and looked around, it was fine, sure harder to rebel, and he took out a few things, but it's a good map.

Also when was the last time we had a community vote on a map change? On jail? Probably never. Ego works the same way our government does (our being the US). We elect people (the council in this case) to make votes on our behalf, if we voted for every change in this country, there would be like 4 votes a day. Same with eGO if the community voted for every change nothing would get done.

I do!!!! I remember when we removed forest, that was a big thing. Or when we moved it to a rotating map server, from the old prospekt. I remember when we got rid of simon says, and flashlights. I remember when we had trivia, and then banned it and returned simon says. I remember the argument for the bomb sites. Oh and +1 for the last sentence.

P.S. I'm really surprised I was able to make this many posts in one thread without getting it locked lol.

What i like about the new map: Force Fields are gone, race looks better and dont have to hunt for rebels in it, theres actually a challenging bhop, and its newish :D.
what i dont like : The race doesnt have a starting area like the old one, and it feels so cramped

i hope im talking about the right map but anyways good job on the map you got skills bro you got skills
 
Rogue took precious time out of playing Eve all day to remind us why he's a CS:S Advisor, be nice to him!
 
Everyone can easily be made happy by just re-adding the old version of Grand Marble and keeping the new version too.

I think the reason why they took it out was because it kept crashing the server for some reason when its switched to and from marbles.

I could be wrong...

So an 'upgrade' was made.

It's been on the server for a pretty long time, I don't see why it'd start doing it now. I've never noticed it, anyway.
 
only what i can say if u dont like that map do not play that wait that next map start. It is that easy ;) or u can allways type rtv and nominate!
