say 15-20 people are online for an event, each event can only hold 10 people per game.

first come first serve

flawed, everybody arrives early...and it isn't exactly kool to exclude people, it could become bias, and especially when the event happens twice and some people part take twice some don't at all.

i wish i could throw a suggestion out there on a way to solve this, but i cannot think of one at the moment. so does anybody have a suggestion?

ya possibly if there is enough people we can do kind of like a tourny style...have 2 arams at the same time, winners face each other for gold and losers face each other for bronze *shrugs* its all conditional on the amount of people tho...kinda sux

so you come and make a thread in an open forum complaining about events, yet don't offer any solutions? furthermore, you cut down other possible options, calling them flawed.

didn't you quit this game?

all events are first come first serve in every game like a CSS event there is 32 slots and like 64 people want to play

The first game was first come first serve.

The second game I wanted to make sure the people who weren't lucky enough to get in first would get a chance to play.

Things got unorganized after the first game and we went from having 20 people to like 15 so I apologize and if we have that amount of people next week I promise it will be ran more smoothly.

I really don't see how this is flawed exactly...
First come first serve. You complain about people getting there early so it's not fair?
I'm pretty sure that's the definition of fair. The more you want to get in, the earlier you come.

Okay this never happened. Lava had everyone who was ontime and in vent like they are supposed to be on the invite list. He hits invite and everyone gets invited at the same time. That can't get anymore fair then that.

THEN
"especially when the event happens twice and some people part take twice some don't at all."

You got in the first game. For the second game who ever had played already had to sit out and the people that weren't fortunate to get in first got to play.

It can't get anymore simple or fair. Its not flawed if you think so pm me or another LoL adviser about it and we will address it. Don't just say its flawed because everyone got to play 1 game. If you stuck around you might of gotten to play 2 but people who didn't get to play deserve to play just as much as anyone else.

LoL Advisors and EC's need to both be there, its kinda rediculous how people should be excluded.

Should be atleast 2 games going if we have 15-20 people, You can always find people.

holy crap is this a joke?

damn all these replies are ridiculous. i saw a legitimate problem and im trying to publicly address it so others can throw out their ideas input and all that gets said is a bunch of flak, balderdash and blahblah stop complaining. im not complaining, i really don't give a damn but i know others are being excluded...and in general its tough when an event can only hold 10 people and 1-2 already have to be the EC.

i swear anybody that plays LoL just develops this elitist pompous attitude that i see rubbing off on eGO members...getting really sick of it and that was one reason why i stopped playing the game to begin with.

whatever mates, have a good day *salute*

Hrm, not seeing it.

Its not "flawed", if people are taking the extra effort and using more of his or her time to be there on time, then they deserve to be in the Event. As far as playing twice goes, the people who played in the first game dont get a "free-bee" into the next event, they are then again put into the "Invite list" where they have equal chance to get in. Why should they be punished for hitting an "accept button" faster?

You're kinda jumping to conclusions there Junk, only two people mentioned complaining and you didn't really give them too much to go on. That's kind of a big stretch to "all LoL players are jerks"

As for tourneys, that's part of the nature of the game. League of Legends can support 10 players per match, just like our CSS servers support 40 or so. When we hosted the Dustbowl Event in Insurgency, if 50 people showed up, someone would be left out. Events are announced far in advanced, often times we have signups...if we go overpopulation it's limited by the game.

Getting back to LoL, if it's something that's a little less formal, like a get together for some friendly matches, or tourney practice, etc. Then no problem, 15 people show up, you can break it down into 3v3 and 5v5 just by picking up 1 extra person. Or you play one 5v5 and get a second one in 30-40 minutes later.

But for a scheduled event with ranking and prizes, you have to follow the rules of the event. ECs take the time to plan and setup an event, line up prizes and you can't just toss that out the window because a few extra people didn't make the server limit.

The only way we can solve this problem is to have more games run at the same time. If there isn't enough people say 13-15, then some people just can't come. I make it fair for everyone, or at least try to. I do invite everyone at the same time so its somewhat good. But when there is over 15 people on, i cannot do this because there is an invite limitation on LoL.

I'm sorry for anyone that doesn't get in and will gladly host another for those who didn't get in before.

Wow, such drama over this. I was late to the first event so wasn't expecting much, but still got into the second ARAM that Kariak(I think it was him) ran, which I am glad was run.

Now onto a suggestion for a solution to this problem. While we can't fix the problem if 15 people show up, with only 10 being able to play a match, we can make it so those left out have a GUARANTEE that they will be in the second match. I like that the event lead just puts out the invites to everyone and those that get lucky get in first(while I feel this does bias to those with better latency). At this point the EC in charge should make a list of those that still want to play and let them know there will be another game run after the first finishes(again if not enough for two games at same time).
Now when its time for the second game, the EC in charge should invite those that are on the list they made, then see if anyone was late for the first and get them in, AND then send invites to all those that were in the first event, that still want to play, and make them all press the accept invite button and whoever of them gets in gets to play.

This isn't a perfect solution, but I feel it is the fairest way to do things, and allows for more people to actually play in the eGO events instead of the same people getting to play and leaving some out.
