I play RPGs when I'm not playing TF2 or fighting games.

However, I haven't had a good RPG to play in a long time.

If any of you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them :).

To avoid suggestions I've already played, I'll just make a list.

Please note that I am not looking for an MMO

I did not see Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2 on that list. I am positive either would suffice!
 
Definitely Neverwinter Nights 2 at least if you're into the D&D style RPG.

Honestly if you haven't played it and you like the FF style, Super Mario RPG isn't bad and you can get it for free with a SNES emulator and ROM.

Soul Blazer, also for SNES.

Arcanum with the fan patches.

Old school, but Deus Ex had a great story line, sort of an RPG / FPS combo more like Mass Effect.

Icewind Dale

Baldur's Gate 2.

Syndicate - It's not technically an RPG, but has a lot of the same elements of leveling up characters.
 
While not super RPG-esque, I noticed you listed Darksiders, so I suggest Nier and Heavenly Sword. Those two games are phenomenal to me. The stories are fantastic and I love the worlds.

But according to popular opinion of those two games, I'm a gigantic idiot.

GBA/DS:

Mega Man Battle Network 1 - 6 (the fourth game is the weakest link)
FF Tactics Advance and A2

deus ex probably arguably the best PC game ever created, but seeing your list of played im almost sure you have played it but slipped your mind to throw it on the list

You're right, I forgot to put Deus Ex on there. How I forgot it, is a mystery and I should be ashamed.

I also forgot Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Super Mario RPG. I've played too many D:. FF Tactics too.

As for Neverwinter Nights, I haven't tried it out although it looks good. I'll see if I can't find a demo.

LOL your funny, MMBN 4 being the worst, no.. The last one the cyber beast, was stupid easy.



I highly reccomend Golden Sun, and Golden Sun lost age. Though u have to play the first one to understand the second one. (Since the second one starts during the final boss of the first one) Though Golden Sun dark dawn didnt really impress me, but i guess thats what you get for waiting 7 years to make another sequel

actually i have a series for you which was unmentioned, and easily the best RPG series (and game) i've played in my entire life.

star ocean (snes), star ocean second story* (ps1), star ocean till the end of time (ps2), star ocean the last hope (ps3 - haven't played it)

* = best game i've played in my entire life, not just RPG, but best GAME.
 
If you've got a PS3 then I'd suggest taking a look at Valkyria Chronicles. It's a story driven Third-Person-Strategy game, but holds a lot of RPG elements. I throughly enjoyed my play-through of it, and it definitely falls in line with many of the other games listed above. That game is one of the best games on the SNES by far.

And I forgot about Valkyria Chronicles too! The story and art for that game was REALLY well done, I wish it sold better so we'd get a sequel on the PS3 instead of the PSP.
 
Well I'm gonna try Neverwinter Nights 1

I hear the second one isn't so good.

Any other suggestions though would be nice.
