Mic not working in steam

no idea why, and it seems to be me only, default system mic is set to the correct one as well

any help is welcome!

Does this only happen in STEAM?

If so, reset your microphone through STEAM.
Click "Detect audio devices", when the window comes up, go to your mic, right click it, click "Set as default". Do it even if it's already default anyways. Close the window, test your mic in STEAM.
