You seem to hear of WoW related reports all the time. The popularity of the game makes it a center-point for abusive news.

Anyways, it's pretty horrible, but I can see how easily time can be lost even if you have a child to take care of. I do it myself and forget to feed my dogs until 2 hours past their meal when I'm playing a game. Still, glad she plead guilty rather than cause more drama than was needed.

On topic- that's pretty disgusting. Even worse for the father to have done nothing, military man that he is- this kind of thing doesn't happen overnight, nor over 9 days. If he moved their older daughter away, you'd think the younger would have gotten more protection. Some people aren't fit out to be parents, alas.

That's crap man. I think this is ridiculous. I've seen my share of people who are just disconnected from reality but this is just the worst. I know I put a mad amount of hours into gaming, but I take time out to smell the flowers. Some people are just excessive.

Sadly these kinds of stories are becoming more and more common, I dunno if there are any kotaku/gizmodo readers here, but they appear on there all the time. Very sad for the children..
