So I finally decided to try lol...

Rumble's mechanic is complicated because it will eventually silence himself. Lee sin's energy is not strange, is it a replacement for mana. Rather Lee Sin's playstyle of skillshot and jump make him unforgiving for new players, which is why he's unsuitable for new players to handle.

Morde's shield mechanic means players do not have to worry about mana, allowing them to spend your gold elsewhere, making them more effective at their role.
He does not have to return to base as often, as his first items should always provide some regeneration giving him an advantage in game, many people recall as their over aggressive playstlye means they can't maintain their laning, but Morde will rarely have this problem.
He has a ranged attack which is rare for most melee characters, it is easy for him to farm minions and he has enough survivability to be more forgiving in the laning phase, while being an amazing counter to many characters, as they struggle to deal with his shield mechanic, which will be even more apparent at lower levels of play.

Lee Sin not only has added complication because of the limitations of the energy system, but because all of his abilities lead into separate abilities. This just adds more complication for when to effectively use your abilities. His ultimate requires understanding of positioning to use effectively.

I believe you underestimate how complicated the game is when first starting, most people will follow the recommended items, which for Mordekaiser, frankly aren't very good, it starts him off with a Doran's Shield which means he has no health potions and has to rely solely on health regeneration from the shield (his base regeneration plus doran's shield isn't enough regeneration to use one of his level one abilities constantly off cooldown, but his abilities gain more health cost as they are leveled up and he needs to use multiple abilities, you will actually be forcing yourself out of the lane), he gets none from masteries or runes, which you really take for granted when you are level 30. Mordekaiser's mechanics require better innate understanding of the game than other characters do. Maybe other health based characters like Mundo or Vladimir may be good for beginners, but Mordekaiser can't be played well without understanding that you can't pick fights without being in a lane often, the importance of some items to his remade playstyle (Gunblade) etc.
Furthermore, ranged abilities on melee characters aren't uncommon at all. As a matter of fact, the only characters without ranged abilities (excluding ultimates) are Garen, Rammus, Trundle and Udyr, of which three are almost exclusively junglers.
Mordekaiser's farming is solely intended on pushing a lane, which creates really bad habits that you will have to drop later on.
His survivability requires the proximity of a minion wave. He becomes a pushover in the jungle or when stunned.

All I am saying is someone like Mordekaiser is better played after you reach around level 15 and understand the mechanics and flow of the game to an extent.

There is only 2 class types im really interested in, melee tank or melee dps. Probably one of the reason why I <3 Jarvan because I can solo most of the enemies I've come across in a matter of seconds. Plus i can really mess them up with the long range melee knockdown combo between his dragon strike and (forgot the name) standard

mastered at how many games? there's always something to learn, don't you worry.

I think that was my... 3rd game with that char I made a couple guys rage quit from the enemy team my last match because they were playing sturdily and giving me easy kills XD attacking enemy turrets solo with only a few minions isnt a wise idea =p

Wouldn't say you mastered him just yet. From what you said it sounds like you had a good game against some lesser skilled players.

Also, as someone still fairly new to the game(playing since Feb.) I would have to agree with Carmine on Morde not being a newb friendly champ. I tried him when he was free a few months ago and was completely wrecked. Tried him again when he was free recently and actually did a lot better, mostly because I understood the game better and how Morde worked from going against him many times. His mechanic can be tricky if you don't understand how he works within the game against other champs.

Oh and I wish people would quit lumping him in with being a tank, cause of all the "beefy" champs, he isn't anywhere close to being a tank.

Go to the champion screen on your account. Filter it so it only shows Fighters. Make sure to pick from those when playing champions, because they're all similar to your playstyle.

Exact same thing happened to me. My second week playing he was free, I tried him and didn't understand his playstyle one bit. When I got him later once I reached level 30 he became one of my favorite characters.

Each to their own I guess. He was pretty much my start-out character, being the first champion I could buy with my first 3K ip and I just found his playstyle to work for me.

As for him being a Tank, I'll never forget he quote from the enemy team when they were raging in all chat at their morde having 11-1-X when their ranged carries were struggling.
"Your playstyle is less like tank and more like Pacman"

how is tryndamere? I've faced off against a few people playing that character and most of the conflicts were close calls, in late game. might be tempted to buy that character to grind with after this free week (if I don't like any of the free characters)

Tryndamere is good at low levels where people have no ideas how to deal with him. The only real skill needed for him is farming well and remembering to use your ultimate. I wouldn't get too used to him though because he is currently being reworked.

Assist are like kills. I feel that if you have the most assist, you were the best Team player on the team. Being Jarvan, who is a tank, you shouldn't really worry about kills, only tanking and helping your team get kills, so you did good. Especially for a first time.

Grim if you're on today ill help u with some champions. I think the best way to learn how to play with a champ is to watch someone play it

Jarvan is really better at being an offtank or tanky dps rather than full on tank.

Watch some of the top players streams if you want to learn some new tricks or see how they play champions. Just don't try to copy them exactly because they are really playing a different kind of game compared to the one you play when starting out.
