Actually, it was an incident in the game last night, that brought this on. One of our very own e's was accusing Duke of hacking. When he was warned by an Admin to not be accusing in open chat or he could be kicked, he responded with "ok ill jusyt leaeve then gg i dont agree with that crap"
Here's where I'm going to speak up for Duke. He's a Raider, and I've played with him quite a bit. On certain maps, he's deadly with his rifle. From what I've witnessed in game, from a spectator's point of view, he's a decent shot. When he's armed with a rifle, he's great on the long range. His snap shots are lousy, but we already knew that.
I'll send the conversation to the House Leaders for the accusing e, and let them deal with it. But for now, keep this in mind... On our servers, if you SUSPECT some one of hacking, until there is a demo that proves beyond a doubt that there's any unfair play going on, all you have is a suspicion. If you don't take the time to inform an Admin, then no one is going to be able to take the time to make a demo. And... If you don't bother letting an Admin know PRIVATELY, chances are even if there was any hacking going on... the person you SUSPECT will know what's going on and leave the game before a proper demo can be made.
So what does that tell you? That accusing some one of hacking in the game, in open chat, is not only wrong and seriously tacky... But even on the slim chance you're right, we can't do a damn thing about it because you went running your mouth and ruined any chance of getting a proper demo to remove the offender...
And this is why we have the rule ... "NO accusing others of hacking in open chat".
