Artimus Loses His Mind

<div style="width: 500px; text-align: center" align="center">Once, while driving to work along a stretch of desert outside of Las Vegas, I saw a slight movement in the dirt and foliage on the road side. Being trained as a sniper in various theaters of war, I knew that I was being tracked by a rival marksman.

On another occasion, while stepping into my home, my advanced situational awareness instruction caused me to pause momentarily and reconnoiter, as well-placed sticky bombs may have been placed just inside the doorway by a cunning adversary.

Last night I woke early. My bedroom was very dark, but a red glow caught my eye. You see, experience has taught me to spy redstone better than most; and there it was, just within reach.

Many of you know what I'm talking about. Those times when real life is clouded by gaming for a split second. It has happened to me just after playing CoD, BC2, TF2 or even Minecraft. What about you? Has a red light from the DVD player fooled you too?

PM any gaming related stories to me, Artimus. I'd love to read them, and who knows? You just might find it on the front page news.

Ugh! So many times. It will happen in technical was as well. When Halo Reach came out, I played that sucker for hours; When I finally would go to bed after playing, I'd fall asleep and be awoken to my fingers twitching as if I were holding the 360 controller in my hand.

I play airsoft with my guy friends and I was totally having Counter strike deja vu while I played. I need a radar though and some flash grenades would've come in handy :P

I could probably think of a bazillion different times I've relived my video game experiences, but it's hard to think of all of them :P
 
Well.. This isnt in real life but
I was playing WoW, and i was severly confused on how when i last hit a mob i didnt get immediate Xp :P (Thanks League of Legends)
Also, I watched a move with the main character of Caterina
I immediately said to myself to chose Corki. (again, thanks league of legends.)
 
When I first started playing DoD, I was on for about 3 hours a night... plus about 6 hours at a stretch on weekends. Generally it was after people had gone to bed and I was using headphones. It tends to get a little more intense with headphones as it ends up being your entire "world" - you can't hear anything else other than the game.

As a result, when you finally go to bed, you may end up either dreaming about the game or the DoD sounds are in a dream unrelated to DoD... i.e. on a holiday in the islands, but suddenly hearing a grenade and mg fire.
 
Randomly checking corners while walking in my house :p I caught myself doing that a couple times.
 
Playing FEAR to much. Now having a "FEAR" (lul) of dark corridors, flickering lights and above all, creepy girls in red dress's.

Oh, and hearing a noise at night while home alone, thinking I'm going to be killed in some freaky paranormal way...
 
after playing in our css jail server for too long

ive caught myself saying shift/crouch walking and refered to my room as my cell


also a memory from highschool


my highschools name was arroyo so there was a big A on the back of the gym

i remember snickering to myself and thinking

"i know where im planting the bomb"
 
Lmao, this is when you know you play too much.

Once when playing tennis i was throwing the ball to my friend as it was his serve. instantly before i had time to think about it my other hand was pulling an imaginary pin out the tennis ball and with a over arm throw i yelled "fire in the hole!".
Rather embarasing when there are 4 other players on the court

Another was when i was watching an episode of some rubbish on tv where the star was defusing a bomb but was running out of time, unfortunatly the bomb exploded with him still struggling to defuse it. When my family were sitting in silence over the death of the main star i pointed out that "If he had been clever enough to by a defuse kit at the start of the round, he would not have died" :P

Bad times indeed.
 
There's a kid at my school who's ring tone sounds almost exactly like the beep-beep the payload in TF2 makes before it blows up. It makes the hair on my neck stand up when I hear it go off at lunch.
