So, I started with Edgegamers in late February early March in the CS:S division. I just started playing CS:S again, I had let it sit and collect dust for a couple years. But every server that I would join just disgusted me. The people there were rude, inappropriate, and I didn't want to affiliate myself with them.
So one day, I'm playing Day of Defeat source with some buds of mine and I run into eGO's avalanche server. I liked the rules and my ping was pretty good and so that was the only server I played. Then when I started CS:S up, I thought that I would look for an eGO server HOPING that I could finally find a server that kept the game appropriate. It was only a matter of time before I would join the group.
The thing that makes eGO great is that they respect everyone here. I noticed that many young kids join eGO. I think that is great because some of the other clans require "tryouts", and some young guys just can't get in. The fact that eGO accepts most applicants lets the younger players experience clan based gaming. That is awesome.
Anyways, the reason I am posting this is because my account will probably go inactive for a couple of years. The reason I joined eGO is because I couldn't find a group that kept my standards. I am LDS or "Mormon" and like a lot of Mormons I know, love to play games, but there is so much filth out in the world that I don't know where I can play without having to turn my speakers off or quit the game because of inappropriate sprays. Gaming with eGO gives me servers and options that I know I can play in and be comfortable playing.
I will be leaving in a week to go to Southern Chile to serve a 2 year mission. I will not be able to play throughout those 2 years so my account will most likely go inactive. The only thing I can think of is that my brother might use it to play but the gimpy17 you see playing will most likely not be me.
I know that I haven't met many of you, I joined a couple months ago. But I just want to thank all of you guys and gals here at eGO for giving me somewhere to play and have fun and enjoy some really great games without all of the filth that you see nowadays. I will probably set my status on the website as "On vacation" or something like that, but I'm not really sure what to do. I will try my best to play on the CS:S servers this last week that I am here, hopefully I can see (kill) as many of you before I leave. Thanks again for giving me a place that I can game comfortably when I get back!
