My advice is simple to follow, crouch, aim at the enemy chest (with stg or BAR) and then launch a deadly barrage of bullets while slowly pulling the mouse down to keep the recoil down. Should work 
and my advice for the kar 98, don't go for the head, it'll kill your enemy with a shot in the chest so just take quick aim and shoot and also when facing someone, strafe and stop for the shot (have to be really quick) and then while reloading or removing the shell keep strafing and then shoot again. And also if possible try to strafe from behind a wall. popping out from behind a wall is always good if you can aim fast. And also, get to know your maps! That helps me a lot!
