It's that time of the year again folks. You've heard about it for weeks, months, even years. It has finally arrived, and that is Edge Gamers fifth birthday!
Five years ago, on July 1st, 2006, JohnT and Artimus got together and made a website. They followed this action by creating one Day of Defeat: Source server on the Avalanche map.
Today, there are nine gaming divisions, spanning many game titles, featuring thousands of players from around the globe, as well as many in-house divisions, capitalizing on many of our talented players abilities.
Out of these long five years, I have spent the last 13 months of them with Edge Gamers, playing alongside many wonderful players, allowing myself to induldge in the world of 'eGO' and learn as much as possible through each passing day.
I have met many wonderful people, who each share the same gaming desire that I do, albeit on different titles, which allows for a broader horizon. I too, joined eGO on the game that started it all, Day of Defeat: Source on June 1, 2010.
During this time, the players of eGO allowed me to see just how special this organization was, and made me want to be more a part of it than I was previously. Now within the eGO rank itself, I continue to assist where be, and provide fun contests along the way.
That is why today, I am pleased to announce the following contest:
There will be 31 game copies available to be won, spanned across many different titles that Edge Gamers supports.
These titles will include:
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Call of Duty 7: Black Ops
- Counter-Strike: Source
- Day of Defeat: Source
- Killing Floor
- Minecraft
- Red Orchestra 2
- Team Fortress 2
However, looking upon previous contests that I have held, I wanted to make this one a little different, and hopefully better. As with previous versions, the player would be awarded the game that was up for grabs. However, this time around, the game price will be up for grabs. Below will outline the choices and allotted copies:
Price: $59.99 (Three copies)
- Call of Duty 7: Black Ops
- Red Orchestra 2
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Minecraft
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Counter-Strike: Source
- Killing Floor
- Team Fortress 2
- Day of Defeat: Source
However, unlike previous contests, I am also putting up $250 in five seperate coupon packages. This means the winner would receive a '$50 voucher', redeemable at the Steam store, allowing the user to select a game that is worth up to $50.00.
Overall, we are looking at just under $1,000 of games available to be won. They will be available all through-out the day at different times and at random.
Several different game prices have already been selected as prizes for different questions that will be asked within this thread, as well, be sure to keep updated as I will announce through ventrilo when a random contest would be on-going.
Now for the fun part.

First and foremost, the upcoming disclaimer and rules may sound harsh and mean, however this is to ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity and will make the contest go much smoother.
As such, this contest has been created to further close the gap between all eGO members, so that we can share our growth over all of our current and future supported games and allow the players to experience player interactions on different worlds.
Regardless of race, sex, age, or disabilities, all members of eGO, provided they follow and meet the rules and requirements, are eligible to win the contest.
The winner will pick a game of his/her choosing that he or she does not have yet, which will then be gifted to the user through Steam Friends, ensuring said user does not already own the game.
If you have any questions regarding the contest, you must a.) PM myself through the forums, or b.) Add myself to Steam: Quartz87 and ask me there. Any other method of contact will not be acceptable, but will not result in any disqualifications.

RULES
