I was playing it for free to play but it wouldn't let me click the Confirm button to make my character at the character customization screen, any solutions?

It's free until you run out of Crystal Energy, which means you can't get further down to the Depths and the Clockworks - which means you don't get the TF2 hat.

It's a "Free" game.

You get a starting amount of 100 energy points. Some actions, like, using the elevator in the arcades (The areas where you actually play) drain you 10 energy points, and 4 extra points if you die and want to raise in your spot.
Once you run out of energy, you must buy some more with either money or in game credits. My 100 energy points got me like 2.500 crowns (In game currency) while another 100 energy points are around 5.100 crowns. You also get 2 free 100 energy point tanks, which means you get 300 energy points.

As for the TF2 hat, I don't know what you have to do, but I got it. So, yeah. Go and get it.

Well actually you get energy from mist tank everyday which recharges, and to get the hat you need to complete the achivement Mission complete, which is getting down to 4th depth. Pretty easy and completely free :] So plus if you really want crystal energy you can just get it from other players ;]
