[ame="http://www.gamespot.com/news/6321487/world-of-warcraft-now-free-until-level-20"]WoW is now free to play until level 20[/ame]

There are several restrictions as to how much of the game you have access to, but there is no 14 day trial for the game anymore. Now a player has unlimited play time up to level level 20.

The first expansion to World of Warcraft, Burning Crusade, is also now free. If you buy World of Warcraft, your account is now automatically upgraded to include Burning Crusade. People who already own WoW have been automatically upgraded as well.

Yeah I don't know like that Auto Upgrade, some people like Classic more then expansion

It makes me tempted to play now, but If I liked it, id want to pay for the subscription and at this point I cant afford to spend 15 a month for this game. So im going to resist the urge and not do it.

but have fun to those who do.

I agree with Dan, Very tempting.. really wanna play it.. but a part time job at my age. Really can't afford it.. Why can't it be permanent... D:

I might actually load this back up and play some during late nights. Hell I can run it on my laptop atleast it will be something to play if I'm traveling or whatever.

Since I bought it back in November for 5 bucks, I haven't even touched WoW. Couldn't afford to pay the 15 bucks a month, so I guess this is a good way to play a little. Plus the BC upgrade is nice. I just don't want to download it :(.

Recruit a Friend levels up :)

The Recruit-A-Friend feature offers amazing perks to World of Warcraft players who ask a friend to join them in their adventures through Azeroth. With the 4.2 patch we?ve made the rewards even better, as you can now reap the benefits while leveling all the way to 80.

When you recruit a friend to play World of Warcraft, you?ll be able to send them a unique referral key. When they use this specific trial key to activate a new account, you?ll both receive a number of perks to help you level up together.

Worried about spending a long time leveling up? No problem! You and your recruit you will gain triple experience while partied, up to level 80.
Even if you don?t have as much time to play as your recruit, they?ll be able to help you catch up. For every two levels a recruit character earns, they'll gain one "grantable" level. Recruit characters can then grant these levels to your lower level veteran character.
You won?t have to worry about getting separated; you?ll be able to summon one another to each other's locations from anywhere in the game.
You?ll receive a credit for 30 days of free game play for each recruit you refer who upgrades to a retail version of World of Warcraft and subscribes.
Once one of your recruits has paid for 60 days of game time you?ll be able to send an X-53 Touring Rocket to any of your characters! The X-53 is a unique flying mount able to carry a passenger, and only available from Recruit-A-Friend.

This, so much this. I made a trial account a few years back but I got some other game, I can't remember which, so I never actually played it.

well if nyone wants in the recruit a friend thing let me know, want that mount o.O. Have a group of long time friends on another server i play with, not in eGO clan.... yet...

So, how easy is it to get to level 20?

Pretty darn easy! Especially if you're playing with some higher leveled friends!
I went from level 1 to 70 in about two weeks. (It's not hard to level up until you get to about level 60, then it gets a little harder, it just takes time dedication)

I've been playing WoW since it came out, and have every expansion, but to all you newcomers, it's a great game to try out, and maybe max out a character or two, but this game IS really repetitive. The graphics are nothing special, and the $15 monthly price tag is a bit overpriced, though Blizzard is real smart to make this new F2P to Level 20. This will cause a spike in game subscriptions, not to mention you can ride a regular speed ground mount at level 20 (ever since they dropped the level cap for mounts).

To me, WoW is nothing special now, it's boring to me now. The only reason I have a subscription now is to play with eGO occasionally, and just play when I'm really bored at time, plus it's something to hold me off until Guild Wars 2 is released! (Which I'm hoping eGO will support!)

...but this game IS really repetitive...

Why would you say that?

MMOs in general are much less repetive than what you would think.

Let's compare a MMO to a FPS game:

In a FPS (lets say CS:S) game you shoot until you die, then you start over again. You do however got plenty of maps and styles of gameplay like surf and gungames. Though this is all very repetive.

In a MMO (in this case WoW) you can raid, go instances, pvp in either battlegrounds, rated battlegrounds, arena or world pvp. There are thousands of achievements to do and you can even use time on proffessions and secondary proffessions. And that isn't even everything, you can roleplay too.

There simply is almost to limit to what you can do in a MMO - whilst in a FPS you do the same thing over and over much more frequently.

I'm in no way saying a FPS is inferior to a MMO. Anyone could like a FPS over a MMO. What I'm saying is that WoW is much less repetive than you would think.
