  • Preventing other humans from completing the objective such as breaking walkways, starting trams/trains/elevators, shooting props into other players, or closing doors on players will result in a warn/kick and/or ban.

Basically, do not press buttons to close doors early. Do not break barriers that are meant for Zombies (Rocks, Walls, Boxes). Breaking these rules is considered griefing. Give everyone a reasonable chance to catch up and a reasonable chance to survive. Think of the team.

  • Camping and not attempting to complete the objective as a human will result in a W/K/B

  • As a zombie, preventing other zombies from doing their objective (killing the humans) will result in a W/K/B

  • Zombies should be attempting to kill the humans and not using map secrets like secret rooms to listen to music or whatever else

  • Exploiting a map such as bypassing invisible walls (player clips) will result in a W/K/B

  • If an admin tells you not to use a map secret due to it causing problems with the map, then listen and don't use it! (W/K/B, unless it compromises server stability such that it causes zombies to die over and over again, or anything else that can cause the server to become unstable)

Rules Pertaining to Zombie Survival Maps

Zombie Mod Regulations

This regulation, "rulebook", will alleviate the majority of the loop holes and any misconceptions made about the server rules. Also, it will solidify the rules, so it will protect the integrity of our servers.

Article I: "Barricading"

Section A: Definition of Barricading
Subsection 1: Using the props on the map to block, prevent or slow the zombies from killing the survivors.

Section B: Barricading Bashing
Subsection 1: Defined as...

a.) Purposefully destroying another CTs barricade.
b.) Helping the zombies get to another survivor as a survivor.
Subsection 2: What to do as an admin:

b.) Kick for repeating offenders.
c.) Ban for repeating offenders or grievers.

Article II: Survivors

Section A: Definition of the Survivor's role
Subsection 1: To live as long as possible.

Subsection 2: Work as a team to barricade.
a.) Dont destroy another Survivors barricade.

d.) What to do as an admin if someone blocks their team from continuing in a ze_(Zombie Escape) map.
i.) Warn for first time offenders
ii.) Kick for repeated offenses
iii.) Ban if kick didnt get the message through / grievers
Subsection 3: Don't camp in ze_ maps, your role is to escape, camping is not escaping.
Subsection 4: Survivors cannot barricade or use primaries (AKA Pistols only) in crouch to get spots such as:
a.) Vents or tunnels
b.) Areas you have to jump crouch to get to or in
Subsection 5: However if theres 2 ways in that one of which has a full size door (standing height) you may barricade there.

Article IV: Misc.

Section A: Using props to boost to spots.

Subsection 1: If a spot requires a prop to boost up to, it is not allowed
Subsection 2: It must not require props to get up on to(other than solid, non - physics objects, what the mapper intended)

Section B: Using props to stack on yourself

Alright so there's been some confusion lately about the Cannot barricade crouch only spots.

So I made a few examples of can's and cannot's to this rule.

CAN AS IN YES YOU CAN BARRICADE SPOTS LIKE THESE:

example1.jpg

Since this room has 2 ways in, a crouch - jump window and a full sized door both of these entrances can be barricaded. This is because one of the ways in is a full sized door.

CANNOT AS IN DO NOT BARRICADE SPOTS LIKE THESE

example2.jpg

This spot has only a crouch spot which you CANNOT barricade since it requires zombies to crouch through.
Props such as chairs, bookcases, vending machines, etc. are NOT allowed to be placed in front of these.

example3.jpg

This spot has 2 crouch spots to enter this room. Because both are crouch spots you CANNOT barricade either spots.
Props such as chairs, bookcases, vending machines, etc. are NOT allowed to be placed in front of these. Or for the fact thats a vent, in them.

OFF LIMITS WITH EXPLANATIONS WHY:

The last picture here (above) maybe slightly confusing and only happens
on a few maps, so it may not be seen much.
