Meet the Medic: Behind the Scenes

The Spy head gag was and still is hilarious.
It's interesting to see that the live version of Meet the Medic had its storyboard hammered out as late as May. I wondered why this video had abandoned the more traditional interview template of the other Meet the Team videos, and I can see why Valve considered doing an origin story with the Medic. Frankly, I had expected them to do something along the lines of talking about the good old pre-war days, learning to play the violin and other mentally engaging pursuits until going to medical school, becoming jaded, and becoming more von Frankenstein in outlook. Good that they dropped the medigun idea, though; they rightly noted it placed emphasis on the wrong thing entirely.
There's also something oddly amusing about the Medic using the Spy as an involuntary blood donor like that.

When I was on a visit at Valve in Seattle with my school I saw the unfinished version of Meet the Medic as it is now, they did say that they had made totally different versions, great to see they posted it on the blog, really interesting and I think it is understandable they dropped it, yet I believe they could actually have pulled through with it as I was really amused as to how much they improved the version I saw which I at first though it was semi-good if not bad, but they listen to the critic of everyone and even put some of the ideas that the ones that they showed it came up with, really amazing!

That was really interesting, I saw it posted on facebook by valve. I think I'll have to watch & read it again!

Saw this yesterday, was pretty funny.
I'm not sure that's possible. Honestly I'm not sure how they're going to make it at all. I trust that they will though.
