Well, here's one server I won't be going back to.

I was kicked from this BC2 server for being a suspected aimbotter. Sure, everyone makes mistakes but the kick reason that was included was really immature.

However, there has been a thread over at the BC2 EA forums complaining about admin abuse on that server and I'm not surprised, and I just happened to be a recent victim.

I've made a post in that thread here along with responses on the next page here.

The screenshot can be found on my Steam page. It has been publicized for easy viewing, but do not view it if you are offended by profanity.

That's one server I'm not going back to. Apparently, they don't care if you are legit or not, they just don't want to deal with complaints from players on the server. At least eGO doesn't have lazy admins like that right?

That server seems like a joke to me.

According to this rule "Do not do anything else that may aggravate the server VIPs, which could be anything from eating llamas to stealing their helicopters" its seems as if they are saying they will kick you for anything they feel like. :confused1:

Clearly your 1337 h4x aggravated some VIPs and they just accused you of cheating to try and save face.

I also find it strange that hadlock and iceshark4 both try and explain that although some innocent players are kicked, kicking all "potential hackers" is for the greater good, but neither seem to touch on the fact that the kick reason was ridiculously offensive. If they are going to go around kicking every one that does exceptionally well, knowing perfectly that some people who are just good at the game will be kicked , you would think they would be be a little less rude in their kick reasons. :glare:

This server generates soo many terribad admins that they have a twitter account set up just to handle admin abuse complaints! Having all of these bad admins makes the whole server/community seem not only rude but incompetent as well!

To make a long story short, if you don't like their unorthodox rules than simply leave the server; I am certain that there is more than one BFBC2 server out there.

Edit: I looked over some of the posts, mainly the one stating their rules and one in particular peaked my interest:
'Do not play Recon or at least do not camp like a stupid wookie (Less Wook, more WookWook is one of our kicking reasons)'
If 'WookWook' is a ranked server and enforcing a limited class policy then they should not even have a server right now, its against the EULA for server usage, its the whole reason our servers don't have limited weapons and stuff regularly for events, because you can only do that legally on an unranked server.

Also the rule about 'Do not do anything else that may aggravate the server VIPs, which could be anything from eating llamas to stealing their helicopters' is also against EULA for servers since in BC2 a ranked server may not do anything that would prevent a player playing the game like they want to without server intervention.

But im back to my original point, just play on our servers and you wont have to deal with punk servers or the punks in them.

Absolutely not. Edgegamers will NEVER go grief another server, and frankly, even in a joking spirit, I'm disappointed one of my O's would suggest such a thing. Any more comments along that line, and this thread will be locked and moved.

Honestly, it happens. Anyone that's halfway decent (or even better, really good) at BC2 gets called a hack. The fact is the majority of people can't stand the fact that another person is better at something than they are.

Except me, I'm not that way at all...




There are plenty of other better servers out there, and we don't need to take action as much as we need to take "inaction" by refusing to play on servers that harbor such ignorant conceptions. I usually stay on our servers for that reason.

i honestly do like the heavy metal map and instant vehicle spawn stuff, but i cant stand playing 24/7 maps in any game. i only will hop in heavy metal for maybe an hour every now and then just to shoot stuff with tanks but thats it for me when it comes to that server
