Another company ruined.
EA isn't as bad as they used to be...some of the companies they ruined back in the day was due to the fact they hired a standard business class CEO to that only cared about money and was very aggressive buying companies and basically shutting them down out of competition he was eventually fired for the bad rap and hurting the industry as a whole and was replaced and now they work with companies and usually let companies do there own thing but now under their payroll. i figure EA is just trying to break into the casual gaming market that has now been proven to be a gold mine
could be worse they could have been bought by activison and youd be seeing plants vs zombies 109 by the year 2012 and for a mere 15 dollars you can download 3 new levels!

That is true. Least we can be thankfully it wasn't Activision.
Evil EA died with the firing of their previous CEO. They haven't done anything malicious since then. I think its a great business decision, better to buy a whole nother division devoted to the casual gamer rather than toss aside/abandon other projects.
Popcap employees better be getting their resumes together.
In other news EA shutters 16 game's online play -- including several 2010 sports games.

It makes sense that EA went after Popcap. The big AAA game industry is slowly dying in favor of more casual gaming.
Smart move by EA. Lets just hope that it doesn't hurt Popcap in the process.

Not that big of a deal. All of those games have at least one sequel out.
