Opening 40 crates?

Should I spend 100$ on opening crates?

Better yet, make a few steam accounts and buy keys in them so you have keys and a few premium idle accounts to get metal from to trade for more keys! Win-Win!

Id rather have 100 dollars than a hat in a game. I remember once I bought a horse in a game for 20 dollars. I realized I could have gotten one without paying and I felt like it was a mistake.

You can still get an unusual without paying, its just difficult.

Spending $100. Real money. On a game. With fake items. You will never touch in your life?

Give it to charity, do something useful with it.

It's his money, he can spend it any way he wants to.

D. Give Believer $100.

Seriously, don't spend $100 trying to find an unusual. Just use the money towards things that matter - like buying more games.

Well my thoughts on this is I would never spend 100 dollers on a game. But if i was going to just for an unusual id make sure i got it. So i wouldnt do crates insisting its only a 1% chance.

the fact that this can even be a discussion (as evidenced by this threads existence) shows just how far this game has gone down the perverbial crapper....

:(

still, pwning nubs on blackmesa makes up for it

at the end of the day it is your money (or your parent/guardians money) so do with it as you please.

Thank you to everyone thoughts/opinions.

Charity: For those who don't know me that well, I've always donated to homeless on the street, to disaster reliefs (Japan, Haiti), and to whoever in need. I can say that I've donated at least 100 dollars overtime. At the end of the day, it's always good to help those in need. I'm not your cheap kid who is selfish, sharing is caring. :)

Giveaways: I was planning on giving away some keys or items to my friends. Noise wouldn't get any because he thinks Wiz Khalifa is lame..haha :D - But seriously, I'll give it to people here and there.

Conclusion: So thanks to everyone thoughts, I've made my final decision. Give some away to people, and ultimately, buy a cheap hat. I think I can settle with a max head or a 50-60 dollars unusual, I'll work my way up overtime. I'll open a few crates here and there but I won't go all 100$ on it. In the end, I do think it's a big waste of money buying a crapload of keys and opening crates. Not only that but there's a 1% chance (probably less) of opening one, and opening 40 only gives me 40%. Just gotta have a little patience and work my way up.

PS: I'm not dying to get an unusual, I just thought it seems pretty unique to own one.

THANKS ALL! :D

So you made this poll and picked the vote that lost!!!! lol This makes me angry. Lol wow POWER!!

haha the poll was for people's opinion. I didn't say I was going to do it based on the poll's vote.

Valve loves you my freind...but erm i guess go with keys? idk i wouldnt consider paying 100 dallors for that many keys or even buying teh hat direct but w/e ur money go for it

Just buy a few keys sell it for an cheaper unusual, trade that unusual with a few unwanted hats for better and better unusuals, and voila! you get a hat you WANT eventually! Storm turned one moderate unusual to a fair sized collection with patience and diligence.

If I were you and I had the ability to spend 100 on a hat I would use the direct approach and just buy it.

There is a chance you would open all 40 crates and find nothing.
