Can't download minecraft.exe

Well, I just got a new computer so I am trying to download minecraft.exe but it is just not working for me I am trying and trying but I just can't seem to get it. I have java update to date I have drivers up to date. I just can't seem whats wrong I really need help.

*Edit, have McAfee and turned off firewall to download it, and still didn't work.
Also reinstalled java and still is having an error.

Specifics would be helpful. Is there an error message? Does it happen when downloading or when you start minecraft? etc.

there are different minecrafts to download. if you have windows then download the windows one. there is also another download if the first one doesnt work. and you also need to have java (i think it comes with minecraft).

Thats also what it came up in, in firefox and chrome

• Can you download any other files from the internet?
• Can you play the in-browser version (Not as a permanent fix, but as a troubleshooting test.)?
• Try using a different browser to download the file.

1. Yes I can download other files from the internet
2. Yes I can play in browser it works fine
3. As I posted before I used Google Chrome and Firefox to use also

Hi Shizone,

I got the Minecraft.exe & that file in which you had the error on and uploaded it to my site.

Please try downloading both of them from me. Try Minecraft.exe and see if you get the error. If you do, try overwriting that java dll file and then try minecraft again.

Please let me know once you've tried it out, so I can take those links down.

Okay well I downloaded the mdvcr.dll deleted the one I had replaced with that one now it doesn't come up with the error anymore I don't think but I still can't download it.

What happens when you try to download it now that there is no java error.

This is resolved, replacing the dll did the trick.

Well, you can see if re installing Java does the trick too. I wouldn't approve of redistributing dll files.
