well for premade comps go for dell xps, alienware, falcon NW

those are gaming comp companies and there pretty good i guess. building your own comp ftw

For $2K-to $2.5K, you can get a really SICK PC, go to NewEgg. If you want, I can go and pick out your parts, depending on the price range. Just PM so we can get squared away.

Yeah, in that price range you could do RAID0 with some Rapters and have the SLI setup, nice indeed. :)

I'm leaving the rest up to you because I don't know what kind of optical drives your want, or if you want external SATA drives or what size of Hard Drives your want or any of that stuff. If you get 2x 3870X2, the drivers are still in the beta stages so you'll have to just chill for a while (just letting you know).

You could probably get an AMD Phenom B3 after CeBIT, depending on availability and whatnot. GeForce 9800GX2 is coming out soon, as well as 9800GT and all that good stuff. If you could wait like two weeks you'd be more future-proof (or you could go with ATi and be happy now :D). I prefer ATi over nVidia, but most people like nVidia more, so whatever makes you happy.

Never buy a Dell PC, they never send you the operating system, and you can't clean your own PC without killing the warranty, and if they do send the software it got "lost" in the mail

raptors are no longer king.......

not to mention raid 0 is over hyped :P imo

and don't buy a system from alienware, unless you like throwing money away :)

Solid State drives are still very expensive, Raptors are at least affordable.

I've been using RAID0 setups in my past 3 systems, for about 5 years, I don't think I will ever not use a RAID0 setup after seeing the benefits of load times in games, etc... but that's my opinion from my experiences.

There are several vendors in your average PC Gamer Magazine that would probably be a better deal and give nice performance over an Alienware, just look around and then look at reviews, or take the best way and build the system yourself. :)

$2000-$2500 well thats alot so youre not really limited on what you can or cant buy.
so shop around and research before you buy
