BF Connection Issues

I have some very strange connection issues with this game and I wanted to see if anyone else has or had something similar and if maybe there are some fixes.

First off, a lot of times I get disconnected from the server I join right away. Its usually the first time I am trying to join, I will join in, get to the loading screen, clikc that I want to join into a squad then instead of the game loading, disconnected. Its incredibly frustrating when I have been in queue for 5 minutes, only to have to get back in queue for another 5. Usually though once I am in the game, its fine.

Secondly, a lot of times my specact kit just doesnt show up and I have to rejoin the server.

Third, and this is weirdest one. Whenever myself or one of my roomates is in game, if one of us then loads up the game, the other person will get disconnected from the server and have to reconnect.

Its so frustrating!!! help!

For disconnect issues try this:

1. open a CMD prompt AS ADMINISTRATOR
2. type "netsh"
3. type "int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled"

Make sure you have unlocked all the ports for the game.

BC2 Port Forwarding

When you and your friend are connecting you need to use different ports, try this:

had the same problem with my friend, what I did was I added +port10001 to the end of my startup parameters on my BFBC2 shortcut on my desktop (like this steamappscommonbattlefield bad company 2BFBC2Game.exe" +port10001). There's an other way to do this in steam, start steam, right click on BFBC2 and go to properties then Set Launch Options. All you got to do there is add +port 10001 then hit ok. I hope this helps you in your problem with two games running on the same network .

Do the above, use different ports for the game.

The kit issues solve themselves after a couple rounds, sometimes even after a couple maps.

The D/C issues are probably stemming from what druid mentioned or something on EA's side via authentication things between client/server/latency/etc...

Well I have had separate issues where all my unlocks were gone, then randomly just showed up.

The kit, well I usually just reconnect to fix it, maybe I will stick around, but usually a few rounds on the heavy metal server would be hours of gaming.

I have tried forwarding all the ports, and adding the launch option port as well so hopefully that will solve my problems.

This kit issue where all your unlocks are gone is an EA issue. That one can only be fixed by logging out and logging back in or sometimes EA has gone and botched everything up and you just have to wait it out.

Yea I have had the issues with my ranks, guns, kits just being gone, it fixes itself eventually, everyone has that problem every now and then..

BTW to the above post, aren't you supposed to be on vacation until the 14th? Go on vacation already!

I'm on vacation. I'm just trolling the forums and not doing work.
