Just got a new car, so, what do you drive?

I'm only 17 and don't have my G2 yet but i'm hoping to get it really soon( two weeks or so) and I dont have a car but the car I would really like to get is either the Nissan Skyline, the Mitsubishi Eclipse or an Escalade EXT.

well your not getting a nissan skyline, as a.) the older ones (R32-R34) are not street legal in the U.S. *except for a select few that have been legalized, but these are impossible to find and cost big $$$$) and b.) the new R35 *AKA Nissan GTR* will set you back a nice 90K or more, due to dealer mark-up, assuming you live in a big city where your Nissan dealer will actually have one in stock.

whereas you can get an Eclipse for 5k with low miles, but it's a Mitsu, and they suck

honestly, save your money, and get a new VW GTI or new Civic Si, both cars are fun and reliable

Aww TheRedChord, why harsh his high?

I remember being 17 and wanting the most outrageous cars but no one said I couldn't have them...

I knew when I went to get a car it would be more modest. The eclipse might be a great choice as the car doesn't hold it's value great and for a young adult, might make the perfect choice...

Derek, get what you want, buddy.

plus the eclipse is front wheel drive, which means he might not be able to kill himself tryin to bust a "mad-tyte drift yo"

You might crap your pants if you have to pay insurance on any new vehicle. :)

In Canada, we can drive skylines that imported, right now, we can drive both the r32 and r33's. A couple guys in Kitchener and Toronto area have them.
