It would be nice for the resets to only happen for major updates (like what 1.8 is supposed to be) but it encourages you to rebuild your stuff bigger and better. Or build new stuff! Plus it's new lands to explore. I don't mind either way, but I like having notice too lol. I understand this time though with the malfunction.

I spent a LOT of time on that server building some big projects. I am sad that my hard work was all lost due to a hard-drive crash and NO back-ups. I will HAPPILY BUY a hard-drive for eGO as long as my world doesn't reset >:)

I actually like the map resets, clears eveything up and gets everyone ready for a fresh start.

Just can't get addicted to this game, I've got too much FPS in my blood.

It was really tough for a new player starting out when the world was full. Now, I feel like I can be just as satisfied with my work in the game as the people who built the originals. I'm sorry ot hear that it was lost for the people who spent HOURS building it, yet it makes the game more fair to new players.

I think of it like this: Sure I hate it, and it's driving a few (FEW) people away, but then again, you have to do what you have to do. We aren't going to raid leadership's houses for doing it. Some people might not get what it takes, so they can't respect the amount of time and work that goes into things like these. It's not your fault the server's hardware failed. I'll still play, but I was already bored of Minecraft as it is.

I'm pouring a lot of time and effort into this map. Hopefully it won't get reset for a while. Every time a map gets reset, I always feel discouraged.

FEW? How can you say a few when the last minecraft poll about if you play on the eGo Minecraft server or not had an equal amount of people who no longer play on there than ones that do?

View Poll Results: Do you play on eGO's Minecraft server?
Yes. Having a great time 102 23.29%
I used to, but stopped for some reason. 103 23.52%
I intend to check it out soon. 59 13.47%
I'm not interested in Minecraft. 174 39.73%

If you read through the comments on the poll the majority of people who have stopped playing are because of the frequent map resets with admins abusing their powers being a close second. And the admins abusing their power on our server is still an ongoing problem. I understand the reason for this last one being so soon because it would have been total chaos without protections working on everyone's stuff, but for the most part I think we should stay with the same maps a little longer. My point is though that I wouldn't call 103 people a "FEW" and is a valid problem among the community.

The map rarely runs out of space to build, anyways. If you go like, 500 blocks from the border there's space all around the border. It's not hard to find a location to build. Plus, if there is no space to build, another good option is to expand the borders. Sure it'll make the map bigger, but it'll give the map more time to remain on the server, not be reset, and for people to get projects done before the map gets reset, as I know many people were working on a project on the last map and almost had it done, like I. Losing a 75x75 mustoreo 90% complete is quite a discouraging thing, but you have to get over it.

Hate spending numerous hours completing things just to find out its all gonna be gone and i have to do it all over again....

Probably be cutting down how much time i actually play on Multiplayer because of this now :"(

I personally find on other servers that resets are fun, since there's more to explore and everybody is back on the same boat metaphorically speaking. But since I have yet to play on the eGO server, I voted that I don't care either way.

eh, i don't really care. its always good to start over. gives me something to do.
